An absolutely gorgeous day here, even if it's only 10 degrees. It's a bit cloudy but so bright and crisp out - I love this weather!! Going to start the tagged book with my Ice Cap. I believe this book looks at the mental health side of Veterans through a fictional story - so I'm hoping to learn a bit from this book.

The Coast Road: A Novel | Alan Murrin

Want to finish this book and return to the library before I get into my October reads. Autumn weather is my favourite time to read outside - so I'm in the backyard bundled up in a sweater and warm coat getting some reading in. Hoping to get an hour or two in tonight.

dabbe Given that Phoenix experiences over 300 days of bright sunlight (and enough people have seen me complain about it on Litsy, especially this summer), when the days do grow shorter and the nights do grow darker and the temperature actually does go below 70 degrees, I am in my happiest place. I love things dark and cozy. The picture on my desktop is not just of snow in the forest, but a DARK snow in the forest. Channeling my inner pagan. 🩵❄️🩵 2y

Deblovestoread We‘ve had some cold, crisp sunny days which are my favorite. Now it‘s windy and rainy so snuggled under my heated throw with a book and my morning coffee. 2y

Faranae My favorite part of winter is the quiet. It is very snowy where I live, so even though I'm in a city, all the sound is at least muted. It's a relief from the cacophony of the rest of the year.

Also, I forgot to add the buddy read to my wintergames TBR. Oops. I guess it's now an “impulse read“ haha. 2y

I love the darkness comes early. I love warm fires, cozy socks and blankets, hot drinks. I absolutely hate the summer heat. kspenmoll Ice stop struggling with the early darkness and seeing it as a restorative time, which has helped since the time changed. when I walk the raw and stark beauty of the leafless trees, interspersed with Evergreen reminds me that this is a time of different beauty. This season also makes the coming of spring, incredibly joyous and special. 2y

Sorry for the late post @TheKidUpstairs - this book was a great pick for our buddy read. It had everything I needed. I think I should have done this as an audio book so I can enjoy ice cream while enjoying every aspect of this mystery. I think I might continue the series - I really Enjoyed Win, felt slow in the beginning but I give it 4 out of 5.
