Loki
Loki: Where Mischief Lies | Mackenzi Lee
12 posts | 11 read | 16 to read
An epic tale across the realms. A deadly power that spans millennia. A story of struggle and betrayal, this adventure is told through the patchwork past of Marvel's most misunderstood mischief-maker of all time: Loki: Trickster. God of Asgard. Brother. This is the first of three young adult novels from New York Times best-selling author Mackenzi Lee that explores the untapped potential of popular characters in the Marvel Universe. The novels focus on exploring the duality of heroism in specific character stories from the Marvel Universe.

#OminousOctober #Day25 #Trick A book thats on my wishlist, I‘ve enjoyed her other novels. This one‘s about Loki, the trickster god & his story of growing up in the shadow of his brother Thor. After he & his only friend Amora destroy an Asgard treasure, she is banished to Earth & Loki slips further into depression. Then Odin sends him to investigate a string of murders on earth that are linked to Asgardian magic. #Scarathlon #TeamSlaughter 6pts

ermagawd this was adorable and cute. I love Loki! I feel like Mackenzi did a really good job of not making Loki just evil or just good. He really does bounce back and fourth while also being a perfect example of the debate of nurture vs. nature. I loved the conflict and who the killer ends up being. Loki is a treasure when evaluating our world and gender norms.

I really enjoyed the author's take on Loki. It made me love him even more. When all anyone sees him as is a liar and a trickster why should he even try to be something else?

This book was not kind to Thor though (but seeing as Loki is the narrator was that ever really an option).

I look forward to this authors other books about the Marvel anti-heroes/villains that we have all come to love.

Whoops, time to preorder a brace of Mackenzi Lee books!

khooliha (Hoping it's a good book for Loki and Thor's relationship - Lee writes such good siblings!) 6y
