All I can say is this is quite a twist from the original story of Dracula. If you‘re a fan of Bram Stoker, you really need to read this book.

London, 1912. A quarter of a century after Count Dracula “crumbled into dust,” Quincey Harker—the son of Jonathan and Mina Harker—leaves law school to pursue a career on stage, only to stumble upon the troubled production of Dracula, directed and produced by Bram Stoker himself. As the play plunges Quincey into the world of his parents' terrible secrets, death begins to stalk the original band of heroes that defeated Dracula a quarter-century ago.

This book was wearing on my patience until it got to the crazy inspector testing his theories while the other detectives appear to be taking the crime scene more seriously. It doesn‘t take a genius to figure out he will be proved right. But his escapades are hilarious and incomprehensible until he explains why.

I used to read Dracula or The Historian, two all-time faves, every October but this year opted for Time‘s Convert. But when the first chapters included spoilers from the All Souls Trilogy, which I haven‘t finished yet I put it down in favor of this one. I‘ve read Dracula so many times I think I can give this a go without a reread of the original. So here goes! And I love the spine and the cover!
1. Dracula The Un-Dead 2. Love books set in NYC

Love Bram Stoker‘s Dracula. We shall see if this is up to par.
#lyricalapril #themonster This book has been on my self, unread, for an embarrassing amount of time. Actually, since before Waldenbooks went out of business ....
I chose this book as my #ScaryRead because I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it & because I haven't heard many people talk about it. When you think Dracula sequel you think oh no 🙈 but I loved it and thought the authors did a great job of continuing the story and in such a believable way. Hope some of you will give it a try. #AllHallowsRead
Dracula is my favorite #classicmoviemonster. I haven't read this one yet, but it looks good. #octphotochallenge
