For those who haven‘t mean my “Demon” dog... this is Demagorgon. The destroyer of books that you are currently reading. She leaves the shelves alone. She leaves the pile of books alone, she leaves the books in the basket on the floor alone! But heaven help you if you have a book in a sleeve or a hugger. She considers it her toy. Ughhhhhh

And yes she is named after D&D. One of 2 fur children.

wanderinglynn She‘s super cute! ❤️🐶 5y
Crazeedi She has a purpose!!🐶❤ 5y
Graywacke She devours books? 🙂 (one my pups got to two volume of LOtR at different times. I figured she really liked the series, even of she ate them out of order) 5y

Gissy She is so cute!🐶❤️❤️❤️In that photo no one is going to believe that she is a book destroyer☺️ 5y
Gissy So funny your comment @Graywacke 5y
GloVerdino My dog used to rip apart books too, for her though it was books I‘ve already read! 5y
TheAromaofBooks There are books everywhere in this house, many on dog-accessible shelves, but when Paisley was a puppy she chose to carefully pull a library book out of the bin and completely destroy it - had to confess at the library, pay for the book, etc. A week later she pulled ANOTHER library book OFF THE TABLE and ate it! Out of the thousands of books around here, the only two she ever chewed were library books! I think she was trying to get me blacklisted! 5y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick My dog leaves books alone, except for a few on the bottom shelf of one bookcase. I keep a rolling suitcase in front of it now, but he's torn a back cover to pieces and nibbled the edges of two photo albums. I caught him pulling the books out other times. I don't dare test the waters to see if he'll continue the practice if I move the luggage. 4y

3. Plenty of time, good snacks, and agree on pee breaks at the beginning.

rretzler 🤣 Basic D&D came out when I was in HS, and I asked for and received it for Christmas. I never could find anyone to play it with me. Fast forward 35 years - I got it for my younger son for Christmas a few years ago and husband, 2 sons and I played. However, we need a better DM - none of us are creative enough to be good!🤣 5y
LibrarianRyan @rretzler hehehe. It was popular on the navy base. I can remember them playing in Guam, but it was in Alaska I was allowed to play. Nothing better to do when the only thing on the island was the base. 5y
