#WinterWonderland Day 21: #TryToRemember is our theme as girlfriends now that I am in Manila for the Christmas holidays. We have been friends for over 30 years now and counting. We were the original Sex and The City even before the show came out (we are missing another girlfriend based in Jersey City now). And yes, we fight like a girl.

I am glad that I bought this book and read it. It summarizes the life & work of 50 amazing women everyone should at least heard of. I just wish the chapters would have been longer. That why it was hard to remember the details from the previous ones and they all kinda blurred together. Maybe more pages or only 25 women would have been better. Queer There and Everywhere had 23 people and it worked way better. #feminism #queer #review

I finish my transaction at the Indie bookstore and the turned around. This book was staring at me and when I opened the book .... how could I not make the purchase!? Judy Blume is amazing 🙂

I haven't read this book yet, but today reminded me to bump it higher in my tbr list and recommend it to my students. @BookishFeminist , you'll be proud. I love teaching middle school, but sometimes my job requires me to give tough, honest lessons. While chatting sports with kids, one student thought he was being clever by saying one was his favorite girls' team. This quote is what I told him. His shocked face read he'd never use that joke again.

I've been getting so many feminist nonfic titles this year. It's the best.
