I have the house to myself today so I‘m working on these two. Total opposites, but I‘m thoroughly enjoying both. #middlegrademay
I got up to grab a quick snack while reading and came back to this. Who does she think she is taking over my book like that? 😹
I think I‘m the only person on the planet that didn‘t love this book. It was just ok for me. It was predictible; I saw all the plot twists coming. Maybe it‘s because I‘m getting tired of the alcoholic woman that no one believes trope. I liked the old Jimmy Stewart movie Rear Window much better.
I hate DNF‘ing a book, but this just wasn‘t for me. I was intrigued by the premise, but I wasn‘t prepared for the explicit sex scenes. If I‘m reading a steamy romance, I know to expect that, but this was way too much for my taste for this type of book.
I really enjoyed this book, as did my 10 year old son. It‘s a fun story with some great lessons for kids. The writing is funny and enjoyable. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. My son said 3.5.
No wonder my 10 year old boy enjoyed this book so much. He loved the language. 😉😂 #middlegrademay
I love Karen White and this book is why. This is so much more than the Southern girl leaving home and coming back years later to visit. This is about family, finding yourself, and figuring out what really matters in life. I felt like I really knew these characters was a part of their town. 4.5 stars due to the bad accent of the narrator of the audiobook. Otherwise, this is an excellent read.

Excited to be starting this one on my commute this morning.
This was such a delightful read! I quickly got sucked into the world. The way the author describes the world and characters makes them all come to life. I can‘t wait for the next one in this series. A definite 5 stars.
My son is picking my reads for #middlgrademay this month. I just finished Nevermoor and next up is Granted. He has already read Granted and can‘t wait for us to talk about it.
I really enjoyed this book. I listed to it on audio. I enjoyed the characters, the plot and the magical realism. My only complaint was that the narrator had a terrible southern accent. On a southerner, that is hard for me to swallow. A solid 4 star read.
Just started this one and so far so good. My only criticism so far is the narrator‘s bad southern accent. It‘s not 1860 anymore so stop trying to sound like Scarlett. 🙄
For a chosen one type protagonist, this one sure does whine a lot. I enjoyed the writing, but did not enjoy the story line at all.
My almost 10 year old son knew I had been wanting to read this, so he got it for me for an early Mother‘s Day gift. I just started it at lunch and so far it is so good! It has caught me from the very beginning. Hopefully it will stay that way. #middlegrademay
This was a fun read. I loved the premise of bring Watson‘s and Holmes‘s descendants together in a modern tale of mystery and it was done pretty well. I will definitely continue on with the series. 3.5 stars
What a book! You know it was great when you have that big hangover after finishing. I‘m so glad I took the time to finally read this. I now know why it is a classic. An American Tragedy at its best.
This has been on my TBR forever. Glad to be finally reading it.
This series is so good! I don‘t think I‘ve ever read a series since Harry Potter where each book was just as good if not better than the previous one. I highly recommend this series!
Getting ready for #middlegrademay. Hoping to get at least the bottom six read in May, maybe more. Nevermoor was an early Mother‘s Day gift from my son so I will read it first.
I loved the first one and this one was even better. I love what a strong female the lead is! She is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters of all time. On to the next book!
This was really good. I listened to the audiobook of this one. The narrator was great. I loved the Australian setting. It was a great story. 4 stars.
My son recently discovered this series at school and he loves it. He‘s a pretty picky reader so when he finds something he likes, I‘m all over it.

This book was so good! It definitely lived up to the hype surrounding it. Lots of twists and turns that I never saw coming. 4.5 Stars.
I‘m a Karen White fan and this book did not disappoint. I always feel like her characters and the plat come alive when reading her books. I did know what the twist was going to be early on, but just not how it would all play out. A very enjoyable read. 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Excited to start this one on my commute home later this afternoon.
I really enjoyed this story. However, this is a middle grade book. There were too many adult themes in this book for that age group in my opinion. I will not be letting my almost 10 year old read this one. It‘s a shame though because the story was so good and would have been just as good without those themes and references.

My reading month. Besides the one, which was a DNF for me, I had an amazing month. I love them all and couldn‘t pick a favorite. #marchwrapup. #wrapup #marchinbooks

My TBR for April. I‘ve never read Gatsby or seen any of the movie so I‘m really excited about that. I will also be reading Bear Town on my kindle and The Wicked Deep on my kindle for readalongs. I always do a few audiobooks that I listen to on my commute, but I don‘t have those chosen yet. What‘s on your TBR for April? #apriltbr

No shopping trip is complete without a visit to the bookstore. The clearance section calls my name every single time.
Fantasy is usually not my thing. After hearing all the hype I had to check this out. I‘m really glad I did. I was sucked in pretty quickly into this world and I can‘t wait to read the next book. 5 stars!
1. Small town
2. Rock! ?
3. Either. Depends on my reading mood
4. Pineapple with pepperoni and jalapeños is delicious!
5. Can I have both? I love Darcy, but I‘m a Southern girl through and through.

Just started this and I‘m already feeling it.
It‘s always a good day when books arrive. Whiskers is put out because I like to read on the bed and she thinks the bed is hers.
Trees starting to bloom here at home. My recommendation is The House on Tradd Street by Karen White. It‘s the first in a series. It has wonderful characters, an old Southern house for the setting and even some paranormal aspects. I just adore this series. #WhiskeyRocks. Thanks @Booksnchill for the giveaway and congratulations!
Another great Backman book. I love how his descriptive writing style and how his characters come to life. I do wish I would have read this before Britt-Marie was here because that book picks up her story just after this one ends, but that is really minor. A good 4.5 stars.
