Two more short stories

📚 9.4 - Heorot - Harry teams up with Guard to find a woman that was kidnapped by a monster from Norse mythology on her wedding day.

Snuck one more in before the year was out. 😊 A great collection of short stories. Loved reading from some of the side character perspectives, especially Karrin Murphy. The last story was the perfect launching point for the next book in the series. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Enjoying some Dresden short stories while starting a new little critter. I was asked to make the cat pink. Can do, kid. 😹Happy Friday, Littens!! #audiocrafting

🎧 📚 This was a fun quick easy read. Book 12.5 in the Dresden Files series. Book 3 of the year.

Before each short story the narrator tells you where it fits in the book series.

The stories are mostly short, interesting and a couple were enlightening. I was able to finish the book in a day by pushing through one story at a time.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Short stories from the Dresden story universe. Some really fun ones in here! Be sure to check out the chronology of the stories to avoid spoilers.

Dipping into this for a bit. I noticed something odd in one of the stories. Harry keeps saying he‘s eventually going to buy a hat, making it sound like he‘s never owned one. Every single cover of every single Dresden Files book has Harry in a hat, so I always picture him that way.

I wasn‘t ready to leave the Dresden universe yet, but I‘d read all the books and the graphic novels. I was looking for something else on one of my bookshelves and found this! I‘d forgotten I had it. Yay!

A fun collection of short stories from The Dresden Files, somewhat unusual in that 2 of them are written from perspectives other than Dresden's. Interesting to see his world from others' viewpoints.

"Harry waxes poetic about magic. He'll go on and on about how it comes from your feelings, and how it's a deep statement about the nature of your soul, and then he'll whip out some kind of half-divine, half-insane philosophy he's cobbled together from the words of saints and comic books about the importance of handling power responsibility. Get him rolling, and he'll go on and on and on."

My favourite part of the Dresden Files: The various people/beings that assist Harry Dresden: Mouse, Waldo Butters, Michael, Sanya, Murphy, Bob.... I can't decide which one is the best 😅 #booktober #bestsidekick

I'm a day late, and although I'm not a fan of mixed author anthologies of short stories in many cases, I do love when a good author puts all their short stories together in one volume. #shortstories #SomethingforSept #bookphotochallenge

Book's jacket: "The tales range from the deadly serious to the absurdly hilarious." It's a great romp reading the background info/circumstances as to what prompted Jim Butcher to write each tale. The when/where in Harry Dresden's world the stories exist chronologically, plus details about Harry and the supernatural world in Chicago from the fave supporting characters' perspectives that you don't get to know about anywhere else! SO. MUCH. FUN!

Well if you couldn't tell from my previous posts I love the Dresden Files. This is a collection of short stories that go with the series. I loved all of them and enjoyed reading them in between the different books. Now onto book 13!

Using this as my palette cleanser between romances during the #bookisholympics and it's so hard to put down after each story!! Just finished "Heorot" and I LOVE the peek at Ms. Gard's true self. ?
