I forgot to post when I finished Our Town last week! My acquaintance with the play was limited to tv episodes where the characters performed it. (Am I imagining things or did Mike Seaver star in the play on Growing Pains?) It was a great to finally read it in its entirety.

Today I finished listening to The Gold Coast. It was a fun read - I liked Sutter‘s sarcasm! Could‘ve done without his adopting Italian words, though 😉

My 3 in progress reads on the first Friday of #FreakyFriday! I decided to do audio for DeMille, and I‘m really glad I had my headphones in when I started this morning. That scene with role play on the horse 😳

My Kindle says Follett is only 725 pages. Lies, I tell you! But I think I‘m making good progress 👍🏻 Guernsey is charming.

Mdargusch My friend says Pillars is her favorite book. I‘ve tried listening to it on audio years ago and was underwhelmed so I didn‘t finish it. I will see what you think and then maybe try again. 6y

Mdargusch This was one of my first Demille books and it was a BOTM selection I got - back in the day if you forgot to reply (by snail mail) they automatically sent you the book. I ended up loving this! 6y

This book was awful. I suffered along with it for a while because it was a book group read. I stopped and decided to use my time on a rewarding reread of The Alchemist😊

I hate that tour season is coming to an end, but that's just one extra day to enjoy reading, snuggled up on the couch! Nelson DeMille is a local Islander and I actually read this book for reference once!

I read this novel several years ago and loved it, but I've never read the second installment, The Gate House. Anyone read the sequel? Maybe I should add it to my TBR.

The Gate House

Jerdencon Gold Coast is one of my all time faves... Gate House was good - definitely entertaining and enjoyable but not as good IMO. Just as a side note... when I first read the Gold Coast I was working less than a 1/4 mile down the road at a day camp from where the Russian Embassy in the book was. I felt like I was totally part of the book since i was right there! 7y
