This is for the Wicked Quills trilogy, which I devoured over the past couple of days. The heroines are all writers - journalist, playwright and erotic fiction author - these books have a lot to say about class and gender and expectations. I‘m a sucker for some feminist historical romance. If you get hot and bothered by consent talk and rants against privilege, I highly recommend. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 #romantsy
1. Heath Ledger (RIP). I‘ve never really found anyone to replace him.
2. 💚🥒🍀
3. Tagged.
4. I‘m really bad at these kinds of questions but I would say Kady and Ezra from Illuminae (maybe the AI, too) and then probably one or two people from Tortall since they‘re pretty resilient.
5. 🤞🏼

Started listening to this yesterday. Hope all of you lovely littens have a fantastic day. #internationalwomensday
I bought FYE as an ebook deal, loved the first chapter (the banter starts immediately!) but got bogged down by a gear change in the second chapter (my mood‘s fault, not the book) so I changed to the audio. I did switch back and forth between the formats a few times but the audio is wonderful. Carmen Rose is a new favorite narrator.
FYE has two smart, perceptive, head-strong characters who clash then click in the best way. #romantsy
Speaking of #tbrtemptation, this deal arrived in my inbox today. It sounds good and the Litsy reviews are positive but I don‘t think I‘ve read any Eva Leigh before. Can anyone recommend?
Oh hello again Litsy! I didn't forget about you but I did not give you any of my time, sorry. I will try and not let weeks go by again although I know that won't happen.
Finished Forever Your Earl by Eva Leigh last night and I loved it. I really can't wait to read the next in The Wicked Quill of London series. Alas that will have to wait as I have 4 books coming in soon from the library.
"You undo me," [Daniel] rasped.
Good to know [Eleanor] wasn't the only one lost in this sea of need.
She beckoned to him. "Show me," she said.
????
Loved this book! Smart and witty dialogue. Just an all around great read.
Because @megt knows how to get me to literally lol at work. And because she is fabulous. And for giving me the term "recreational region." Automatic in my TBR pile!
I thought this was a delightful listen! Eleanor and Daniel have excellent banter and chemistry. They constantly challenge one another's preconceived notions and prejudices. I know it's not entirely uncommon for the genre, but I appreciated that Eleanor was a bit of an anomaly for her time. As a career woman and business owner, her first concern is her work and taking care of herself, not finding a husband. #romantsy
The snark in Regency England is FABULOUS. 😂🙌🏻. P.S. I bet they get it on later😉......#romantsy #gottaloveearls
"We're slow-moving targets, us writers of entertainment. They call us hacks, panderers, scribblers. You name an insult, I've heard it: our readers are fools; the writers themselves are imbeciles; we have no talent. And God forbid a woman should attempt to write something that isn't moralistic tripe. Then the insults are tripled." #writing #writers #reading #novels #feminism #romance #press #media #resist
