Cold Moon
Cold Moon | Jeffery Deaver
10 posts | 21 read | 10 to read
On a frigid December night, an eerie pattern emerges from two equally brutal murder scenes, where a killer's calling card is a moon-faced clock that seemingly ticked away the victims' last moments. From his wheelchair, criminologist Lincoln Rhyme tracks the Watchmaker, a time-obsessed genius. With every passing second, the Watchmaker is moving with razor-sharp precision to his next act of perfectly orchestrated violence -- and Rhyme can't afford to have his trusted partner, Amelia Sachs, distracted by a daunting homicide case of her own. Up against a brilliant madman, Rhyme and Sachs are locked in a blood-chilling race with their deadliest enemy: time itself....

⭐️⭐️⭐️I felt like this one went on a bit too long. I just didn't care any more by the end. Not terrible but forgettable. Joe Mantegna's narration was decent.

July 20 #JulyJam Moon Day I just realized I never read any books with moon in the title. I love Jeffrey Deavers but find it's hard to get the Lincoln Rhyme series, but I will put this one on my TBR list. @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

What is it about the crime genre that I can‘t get enough? I love finding a series and getting to know the characters.

Presently mid point in this book and definitely hooked. Loads of csi and a glimpse into how crimes are solved.
Although not for the faint of heart.

😂😂for @Suzze and @RachelO 24th of June 2013 😍 my husband said like I look like I'm chewing the poor mans ear 😂. He was so nice, that night he spoke about the James Bond book Carte Blanche that he wrote a couple of years previous and also read from The Kill Room. He also gave a sneak peek reading from The October List, a great standalone published in 2014. He's not coming to Ireland at all, although he's visiting the UK in May 😭

rockpools Lovely photos! (And your husband's remark 😂😂😂). You both have me convinced- I've ordered the Bone Collector into my library- looks like the rest of the county are huge Deaver fans - & will read straight away. 8y
Dragon I've read a lot of his books and I always learn a little something from them. History, magic , psychology etc. 👍😀so awesome you were able to meet him ! 8y
Suzze Very cool! 8y
LeahBergen This is awesome! 😂😂 8y
DeborahSmall @RachelO @Dragon @Suzze @LeahBergen I think for us book lovers meeting an author we love is similar to someone, let's say my brother, meeting Gerard Butler or Daniel Craig.... very exciting and I think authors are clueless that we see them like superstars. I was very close to stalking Jeffery Deaver that night in Glasgow, my sister apologised for me when I asked what hotel he was staying in. 😂 8y
