Barnes and Noble | Buffalo, NY (Bookstore)

Changed the book industry for good and for ill.Definitely a major player in book world. When Barnes & Noble and Borders came up , it decimated many independent bookstores. Amazon, another level of trouble. Luckily, we still have independent stores and I‘ve come around to actually knowing we need Barnes & Noble at this point.

lil1inblue My childhood bookstore closed because B&N came to my hometown. Then a couple years later B&N left the town and it was BOOKSTORELESS for years. I'm still sour grapes about it and it's been 20+ years. 3mo

My family took a trip to Albany for some VA business. We stopped at the mall in Colonie which has a B&N…only to find out that it was closed due to a flood in the store.

Boo.

But we had a great time at The Christmas Tree Store and then having Indian food for dinner.

No #shelfcontrol - I just caved and bought 4 books from the B&N hardcover sale…so *technically* it‘s just like buying two books…On a related note, I‘m going to try (really try) to curb my book buying in 2022. Famous last words… 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼📚📚📚

Today I got an early birthday gift from the group of 7th graders I‘m working with this year (paid for by my co-teacher, of course...)! They were so excited to tell me that they wanted to get me some books because “Mrs. Ross is just obsessed with books” but didn‘t know what I already had, so they got me a gift certificate instead. Cutest, most earnest kids in the world 🥰
