so-soThe story is great, the writing is dry. I'm curious about the TV show that was made about it; I think it might be more exciting visually. Kind of a shame because the details of how this all went down are so important and fascinating. But the book reads like an unemotional news article. Also, I was made uncomfortable by a couple of points where Povich and others showed their white privilege.

The only ones in this pile that I've not read are the Laurie Penny, and Sex, Bombs and Burgers. I'm super excited for a new Julie James soon!

so-soThe topic of this book is fascinating (the women of Newsweek suing their bosses for equal rights in 1970) but the writing felt flat and impersonal, even though Lynn Povich was directly involved in the lawsuit. It makes sense since she's a newswriter first but I guess I was hoping for more "oomph."

I just watched the first episode of this show on Amazon Prime. Now I need to see if my library has the book! Two days in and my TBR list keeps growing and growing....

Had to go grocery shopping today. I HATE grocery shopping. Audiobooks have been an anxiety saver for me. I needed a new one. I saw a commercial for the Netflix series based on this book. Incredibly interesting and I'm only an hour and a half into it. 🎧
I was so excited to see the first season come out today of an Amazon series based on this book! I loved the pilot and can't wait watch the rest!
Unlike the show, the book is non-fiction and written by one of the good girls who revolted.
