This is my favourite nonfiction book about wild creatures. And in checking that I hadn‘t posted about this already I found that @LeahBergen is a fan and has a signed copy! I am so jealous! But also, excellent to share another fave with you Leah 😍 - Jane Goodall is my kind of superhero.

I really enjoyed travelling back in time to the 1960s and becoming engrossed in the lives of the chimpanzees of Gombe! Jane Goodall's writing is lovely and you really come to care about these animals because she cared so much. I can recommend it to anyone who likes non-fiction about animals and conservation.

The worst thing about going away is driving back! We also hit a pothole this morning and it absolutely destroyed the tyre. But we arrived tired but safe in the late afternoon and still made it to a special ballet practice for my daughter. I discovered that my mom has the tagged book as well as Through a Window, so I decided to read this one first before continuing with TaW. Read about half in the car and enjoying it very much.

One of my all-time HEROES turns 84 today! 🎊💙🎉🎊❤️🎉 I love her books as well! If you haven‘t read any you should do it asap!

Have been in a super reading slump and just got back from 5 days in Jamaica so haven‘t been reading much. Started this one while sitting in a chair on the beach and am about halfway through and loving it. Hopefully I will get back reading regularly soon.

Like everyone, I have my issues with some of the science of this book but would we have had the breakthroughs that Goodall made without her inexperience and naivety? I doubt it. The writing in this is just perfect and I'm really looking forward to reading more of her work.

One of my coolest experiences in college as an undergrad. I was an anthropology major and actually got to hear Jane Goodall speak. Plus meet her and have my book signed. Thought you might get a kick out of this @WanderingBookaneer

This is #moreorless my favorite nonfiction book. I posted about my love of this book and Jane Goodall before. I read this book at a time where I honestly was not reading a lot of nonfiction so beyond giving me a great appreciation of Jane Goodall and her research, I also came away from it of a reminder of how much enjoyment a good nonfiction book can hold.

This is a 1971 first edition of Jane Goodall's first book and it is one of my treasures. When I brought it to Dr. Goodall for signing, she stopped in her tracks, caressed the cover and softly said, "Ohhhhh, my old favourite..." #SignedSundays
