The story of a family living through the turmoil in Greece due to WWII and then the political struggle between the right and left should have been right up my street but I felt I was reading a potted history with one dimensional characters thrown in to have right vs left arguments back and forth. The second half felt a bit different and I did get drawn in but overall I‘m 🤷♀️. Still, I now know quite a lot about Greece circa 1930 - 1980 😅
