UnidragonFrag 3 of those are ones I keep meaning to read! 1w

UnidragonFrag Evicted, As You Wish, and Vincent&Theo! 1w
UnidragonFrag I've been leaning away from Into the Wild because whoa was that kid dumb, but you an d the author maybe a good point that all kids make dumb choices. Maybe I'll add that back onto my #tbr .. I didn't realise A Fire Story was a graphic memoir. Sounds interesting! 1w
UnidragonFrag I don't know if you've read it, but it's in an adjacent vein as Evicted and the sort of results poverty can just wrought on a community and it was a just devastating read. Very well researched and incredibly infuriating. Probably one of my fave NF of 2019. 1w
CaseyLea Into The Wild is a brilliant book! 1w
Butterflyamore @UnidragonFrag I haven‘t read that but I‘ll add it to my list. If you end up reading any of these, let me know what you think. Chris‘s choices were definitely foolish and reckless but I definitely lean toward the perspective the author presented, especially as a parent to young adults who make some unwise decisions and knowing that neurologically, the part of the brain responsible for good decision making (frontal lobe) isn‘t fully developed until 1w
Butterflyamore @UnidragonFrag roughly age 25. So I do so hope you‘ll give it a chance! He definitely offers some important information in the book but I respect wherever you choose to lean in your opinion in the end! Thanks for the recommendation, by the way! 1w
Riveted_Reader_Melissa I loved As You Wish and Evicted! I can second both of those! 1w
CaseyLea @Butterflyamore I felt like he just had too much naive optimism about what he would be able to achieve. I loved the way this book was written. 1w
UnidragonFrag @Butterflyamore ah, I think I'll re-add it to the pile. Will deff let you know what I think. If he delivers a bit into that, I think that'd be interesting. And no problem about the recommendation! 1w
EadieB @Butterflyamore I don‘t read much non-fiction and I haven‘t read any of these books nor do I own any of them. If I read non-fiction it‘s usually true crime which recently I read about Ted Bundy and The Yorkshire Ripper. I am looking forward to reading Murder in the Stacks about a Penn State student killed in the library. One of the best non-fiction books I have read and found it most interesting is 1w
Butterflyamore @CaseyLea Yes, definitely. And it‘s so understandable for young people. He just never got the chance to learn and grow through his mistakes. 😥 1w
Butterflyamore @EadieB I have The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks but I have not read it yet. 1w
EadieB @Butterflyamore Really interesting story! 1w
Scochrane26 @UnidragonFrag I recently listened to As You Wish & recommend it on audio. I also learned a lot from Dopesick. 1w
UnidragonFrag @Scochrane26 If I read it, I'll probably do audio! I do most of my NF that way, otherwise it takes me like forever. Yeah, I did too with Dopesick. Made me more sympathetic to the situation. 1w
Scochrane26 @UnidragonFrag I prefer NF as audiobooks, too. 1w
Butterflyamore @Scochrane26 I recommended the audiobook of As You Wish in the video as well. It was so entertaining! I tend to prefer non-fiction for audiobooks, too, if I am going to listen to an audiobook. I find it‘s a lot easier for my brain to process non-fiction than fiction. I really need to see the words with fiction! 1w
