It's very rare that I enjoy a TV show or movie more than a book, but I watched this show before I knew it was a book. This is the second in the series, and I enjoyed the first book, but this one felt rushed and everything just seemed to work out fine too quickly for my tastes. I wanted more backstory on the Earthborn people and more conflict between the two groups. It did end on a bit of a cliffhanger so at some point I might read the next one.
Book 2 from my library trip ... I fell in love with this series. If you‘ve followed me for long you know I prefer to see movies and shows BEFORE I read the book - I like to save the best for last. I‘m still waiting on Book 1 of this series but went ahead and picked up book 2 since it was available.
4/5 for the second book in the 100 series. This book was faster paced, had more character development, and kept my attention better than the first book in the series. Looking forward for to the third book!
I believe you have to go into a book with certain expectations, some stories require lower expectations than others and to me that's fine. I felt like I knew what I would get reading and received it. It was a fun, fairly exciting, quick read. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad. Sometimes you just need to devour a bowl of popcorn and typical YA dystopian silliness in one sitting. A junk food book, that's what I'm calling it and I needed it tonight.
I am enjoying the books so far but I still love the show more. Especially because of Octavia. In the show she‘s a badass warrior constantly proving herself and covered in blood. In the books—at least up to where I‘ve read—she‘s mild and almost weak. I aspire to be tv show Octavia 🔥 #aesthetic #octavia #iwanttobeher #warrior #the100
âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸ I thoroughly enjoyed this second book in The 100 series! I have never seen the TV show, and to be honest I don‘t know that I want to, I have heard that it really deviates from the books and in addition I have images in my head of these characters that I don‘t want ruined by Hollywood!😠Looking forward to reading the next one in the series!!
Went to the library to pick up my reserved copy of Day 21 and found they‘d done it again! I LOVE my library‘s sign maker! The sign always make me smile and often makes me laugh!!
4/5 💚's
By this book you have successfully separated the show from the book and have really gotten into this storyline. Unexpected twists & turns & teenage drama (its YA after all). Totally diggin' this story line & differences from the show. So much so I don't want to adult, I just wanna read! Lol
Hubs took a pic of me reading during dinner. I didn't wanna stop reading to eat. 😜 2/3 done! I don't wanna stop but it's bedtime. Boo! Can't wait till Ender's in his own bed and I don't have to go to bed with him. So much reading will be done!
Starting right now! ðŸ˜
(It won't let me post a pic though 😞)
ETA the pic issue seems to be one with my phone, not Litsy...
I've been missing from Litsy lately because I've been really busy growing another human in me! Apparently it's exhausting and baby likes Mommy to sleep. So, I really haven't made it that much farther into the book since all my spare time has been spent sleeping. 🤰ðŸ»ðŸ˜´
Okay so it's taken a while to finish this book but wow is this part adorable â¤ï¸ #the100 #bellark #clarkegriffin #bellamyblake #octaviablake #thehundred
Luke is just another fictional boy who makes my standards for men high af. Seriously love him. #the100 #day21 #homecoming #kassmorgan
Also read in April: Day 21 (The 100 #2). As different as it is from the show, I also quite enjoyed this one! The characters are likeable and human, I really like Glass and Bellamy. And since it's so different from the show we also get to see a completely new story and completely new characters which I really like!
Muchas personas se decepcionaron con los 100, que porque es más romance que acción, sin embargó este no es el caso de los 100: día 21, en este libro encontramos más acción que romance, pero sobre todo tiene mucho misterio.
