Out of sight, out of their minds: It's a school-trip splatter fest and completely not cool when the other kids in her class go all braindead on new girl Bobby. The day of the ski trip, when the bus comes to a stop at a roadside restaurant, everyone gets off and heads in for lunch. Everyone, that is, except Bobby, the new girl, who stays behind with rebel-without-a-clue Smitty. Then hours pass. Snow piles up. Sun goes down. Bobby and Smitty start to flirt. Start to stress. Till finally they see the other kids stumbling back. But they've changed. And not in a good way. Straight up, they're zombies. So the wheels on the bus better go round and round freakin' fast, because that's the only thing keeping Bobby and Smitty from becoming their classmates' next meal. It's kill or be killed in these hunger games, heads are gonna roll, and homework is most definitely gonna be late. Combining the chill of THE SHINING, the thrill ride of SPEED, the humor of SHAUN OF THE DEAD, and the angst of THE BREAKFAST CLUB, Kirsty McKay's UNDEAD is a bloody mad mash-up, a school-trip splatter-fest, a funny, gory, frighteningly good debut!

4✨ Going on a class trip as a new student, Bobby, stays on the bus without any real connection to her peers. The rest of the class goes to eat at a roadside restaurant. Naturally, a zombie outbreak happens and the survivors run for their lives. It was a fun YA read, with adrenaline pumping action, several near misses, and fun characters.

Hello #LMPBC #GroupT here are my potentials that were already on my shelves. Hopefully, they give us some chills. I‘ll add our last person when I get their Litsy name, but the group was full so I thought I would jump scare you. 😅

Fun. Thats what this book was. When a school trip goes terribly wrong, 4 high school students with different stereotyped personalities are forced to work together to survive. This book was extremely funny, light hearted and the pop culture references were on fleek. I loved the main characters badassery and the overall humor to this book, it was creepy at times but overall a fun, easy and enjoyable read. Definitely reading the second one soon.

Just finished Undead by Kirsty McKay. This was the first zombie book I‘ve ever read. I didn‘t know how I‘d feel about it but it was actually a super enjoyable book. The author kept me both laughing and scared throughout the story. I‘ll definitely be checking out the sequel.

Was at BAM this weekend browsing through the clearance section and my boyfriend jokingly picked up this book and suggested I buy it. Definitely not something I‘d normally read but I figured “what the hell, it‘s like 4 bucks. At the worst it‘ll be like a bad teen horror movie.” I‘m on about chapter nine right now and actually finding it pretty funny. Think along the same mood as Zombieland. Anyone else read this one?

A school trip ends in disaster when Bobby, Smitty, Alice, & Pete find their classmates and teachers are rapidly turning into the undead.

I wasn‘t expecting much but it was an enjoyable read. Moments of horror balanced out with humour. It probably won‘t be everyone‘s cup of tea, but I‘ll definitely check out the sequel. Rating: 4 🌟

#monstermadness2017 I finished the first book in this duology last weekend. It's a dark comedy and kind of spoofy. It lacks a sentient being but it's still my pick. #killertomatoes

I loved this duology!! Such a dorky, action-packed zombie story. Made me laugh out loud. Finished it way too soon.

For a different take on zombies, try UNDEAD! It's a ridiculously fun YA horror romp jam-packed with action + occasional blood splatter + irreverent British humor. A short but satisfying page-turner; if you're a fan of SHAUN OF THE DEAD, it's worth checking out. AND it's only $1.99 right now! https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00902Y8Z2 Had no idea when I first posted.

PS, I totally groomed my big fluffy boots with a cat brush for this photo. 😬
