Yeah, this was a "what the hell did I just read" book. I was into it, though. Brutally violent but also funny but also atmospheric, with details that seem unnecessary at first until you get to that ending. I said "Ha!" out loud, so good job, book, you surprised me.
Well my little one was just taken back for her ankle surgery, she broke 3 bones it. I‘ll be finishing up reading this while I wait. Hoping it goes quickly and smoothly.

I am mostly confused by this book—I have mostly no idea what happened, but I liked it more than I disliked it? So I really don‘t know what to say. But! Last book for November!
The writing - somewhat reminiscent of Vonnegut - was better than the story.
This is a dark fantasy novella about an exorcist hunting down a demon that has plagued him almost his entire life. Then, he encounters a man, the Prosper of Schanz, who is regarded as the world's greatest mind - but he's possessed. It was dark, but not horror or gory. It was even a little humorous at times and a bit philosophical. An interesting, short read.

Plus, I thought this cover was so cool, but creepy #booked2020 #covercrush
5⭐ This was a fantastic novella! Really interesting and with a great ending. I definitely want to read more by this author!
Anyone else read multiple books at a time?? I get so excited about reading all the books that I can't stick to just one!
What a book to end 2019 with. I'm a fan of unreliable narrators, and this one is a doozy. So many twists and surprises as an exorcists and a possessed genius go toe to toe. An excellent, quick read.
