Whenever I‘m ready to get my heart torn out I jump on a Sherrilyn Kenyon book - because I know I‘ll cry over what these heroes and anti-heroes go through. And I did in this one. How she always manages to take a character I hate, changes the perspective and then makes me fall in love with them 🤷🏻‍♀️ It always happens. I loved loved loved this book!

So I have question for anyone who has read anything by this author. My friend gifted this to me (she found it at the dollar store along with 7 other books she thought I would like) as I was looking into it I saw it is #9 of a huge series, are these more standalone or do I really have to read 8 other books before I can read this? I have never heard of the series and I‘m not sure I want that kind of commitment haha.

I was off work today, so I got my nails done, got new socks and read lots of my book. Things I didn't do... all the things I needed to do, like clean and cook....

I literally could not put this book down and was not sleeping just so I could keep reading!!! Now I'm going through league withdrawals!!! Good thing Sherrilyn writes other series for me to catch up on!!!

Next up in the TBR pile - I have a secret addiction to Kenyon novels. The stories are all really similar and angsty, sometimes I would love to grab a red pen and edit the dialogue - but I love the universe she created. Is it just me or are her books getting longer? 700+ pages?

I mean, it's the same story in every book, but I can't help myself. Dammit.
