This book was exactly what I needed to escape the madness of the world. Old beautiful home, elderly woman, groundskeeper, baby. Such a good story. I‘m happy I revisited Anna Quindlen‘s writing after over 25 years. Lovely story.
1. Since I‘m not a cook - will go with eating and say creamy soups
2. The Testaments
3. My son, my husband, and our health ❤️🙏

This little girl totally knows the way to my heart. We had to pick her up from school for an appointment. After we were through, we gave her the choice to come back to our house and take the rest of the day off from school or go back and finish the school day. She said she really wanted to go back to school because ... “She didn‘t want to miss library“. Library!!!!! What a kid. 💖
Quiet, thoughtful book about love, redemption and family. My last read to complete the #LitsyAtoZ 2018 reading challenge! @BookishMarginalia
Up next! This is my last one for the #litsyAtoZ challenge! #MountTBR
An abandoned baby disrupts the lives of a goodhearted handyman who recently got out of jail and his old, crochety, rich employer. Secrets of Lydia Blessing and her family slowly unfold over the course of the summer. A heartwarming if slightly over the top story with a bittersweet ending that have my book club a lot to talk about.
A look at what I've been reading the last few days - League of Dragons for pure fun, The Art of Gathering for thought-provoking nonfiction, and Blessings for book group. #currentlyreading
What a beautiful book that made me cry! The comparison with Anne Tyler is apt - older character looking back on the past and past issues muddling present-day events, and yet the way she writes about those themes is uniquely her own. I will definitely be reading more books by Anna Quindlen. There are some powerful spiritual lessons in this book too and it really makes you think. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
My first Anna Quindlen. Liking it well enough so far. Feeling pretty blessed myself as we just had a lovely swim and the kids are in the bath (okay little one just got out). We're having a heatwave in Pretoria this week!
Great words to live by and I am going to try and remember these words this holiday season!!
I haven't read this one yet, but it certainly seems to be about a #familyaffair #augustgrrrl @Cinfhen
Quindlen's books always leave me wanting to read one more chapter ... the characters edge their ways into my heart. This story is no exception.
