Another historic read that not only informed but didn't read as a textbook lecture either. This was a perfect amount of true story and history. I haven't seen the movie and doubt I'd bother to be honest. A quick read to be sure #nonfictionread

A little reading before bed on a wild Friday night 😜 A lot of historical information, well researched, but I don‘t feel like I‘m reading a textbook (so far). I have NOT seen the movie 🍿

Thanks for the tag @TheSpineView & @TheRiehlDeal
1- If I really like it then I'll keep it but if not I'll pass it on. Here recently I've been trying to pass more books on.
2- The Last Duel, the movie is wrapping up its filming and Adam Driver is in it, plus I love historical fiction.

Great book about the last sanctioned judicial duel in medieval France. Judicial duels required a lot of legal red tape to be approved, but when you're a knight and a squire rapes your wife it gets through. These duels were absolutely brutal affairs. This gives you a view of it via this historical event. This is supposed to be in development as a movie soon.

Not the normal book I would read, but I enjoyed it. One of those history books that shows you we have always been awful and there was no golden age.
