Took my sweet nephew to the library today, and we found several fun new books to read, including this great book from Eric Carle about fish dads. He loves Eric Carle books and immediately recognized the artwork! @sebrittainclark

Mister Seahorse by Eric Carle is a great read aloud for the younger grades. The illustrations alone are so engaging the children will love it! This book talks about the only male to carry eggs in a pouch which is a seahorse! Mister Seahorse meets more dad fish along the way and discusses what they do with the eggs. http://www.makinglearningfun.com/OceanMrSeahorsePrintables.htm has great activities to go along with the story.

BRaulerson The UDL guideline I would use is Highlight patterns, critical features, big ideas, and relationships. Being able to discuss how the different fish carry or help with the eggs would be a great way to ensure comprehension. The ESOL strategy I would use is reinforcing the key ideas you present again and again by using the different fish and what they do with their eggs. #UCFLAE3414F19 (edited) 4y
