I‘m posting one book a day from my extensive TBR pile. No description. No explanation. Some will be new. Some will be old. They all spoke to me at one time. Don‘t judge me - I have a lot of books. Join in on the fun if you want to.
Day 15 #tbrpile
The tagged book arrived today, which finally finishes my Lonesome Dove collection. I have mixed feelings about this period in history, but it'll be great to complete the story.
I've somehow managed to read this series backwards. Has anyone else read a series this way before?! Does this make me my own worst spoiler? 😂
Off to UC Irvine with my son and faithful ereader. My ebook expires in 1 day but I'm sure I will finish it.
I am loving this book. It's part of The Lonesome Dove series. It is the first in the series according to the age of the characters but not in order of writing.
My third book of vacation:) a beautiful night in South Texas. Loving this book. I recently finished Lonesome Dove and it feels like I‘m visiting old friends starting at the beginning of the series.
Goodreads challenge #7 a Western.... not my fav genre but I really loved it
Just hit up our library‘s book sale! @HotdogZanzabaar ‘s haul is on the left. Mine is on the right. There was an excellent selection but I️ really restrained myself. I️ found the other three books in the Lonesome Dove series—they even had book 3, LD, but since I️ have a copy I️ didn‘t grab it. Now I‘m kicking myself. I️ could have had a matching copy. 😭 Maybe I‘ll go back tomorrow. 😂 #lonedove #bookhaul #booksale
I‘m actually starting to really love this book... really getting into it.
My favorite reading spot, reading a really good book. I have a few spots that I enjoy reading and sitting on a nice comfy bed is always the best. My next spot is on the couch surrounded by pillows. 😍😍
It isn‘t the easiest book for me to get through but I am enjoying it. It seems to be little mini adventures and I kind of like that. I‘m not sure what time this is set but it seems to be around the 1800‘s. I‘m hoping it will go by pretty fast. I have so munch to read...
I've never been one for westerns. And I didn't think I would like this one; they basically walk, get lost, get attacked, find civilization, and repeat. Doesn't sound engrossing, but it is. I could feel the fear f being chased by Buffalo Hump, smell the sage, feel the horse between my thighs, feel the thunder of buffalo beneath my feet, see the blanket of stars above me as I sleep by the campfire. Adventure.
Evening reading with tea, leg warmers, and cat on my lap.

Now that I made it through Lonesome Dove, I feel compelled to read all four books in this series.
