Jade made use of her favourite sunbeam appreciation spot while I read another story from this lovely MG anthology. There really is a lot of joy here, just as the cover promises. More importantly, there‘s hope and joy even in hard times; a valuable reminder that we can find (or create) bright moments even in the midst of suffering.

Eid Mubarak to any Littens celebrating tonight! I‘ve been reading a few of the stories in the tagged collection and they‘re fantastic!!!

I am absolutely not the target audience, but I really enjoyed this collection of stories. The stories not only centered around Eid, they all had positive messages, which were nice to escape into while the world burns. Some of them were a bit heavy-handed, but overall, I thought this was a good collection.

Luckily I have the day off, and I‘m of course spending it reading 🥰 This book is exactly what it promises- it brings so much Joy, Hope and Love! Even though it‘s about Eid, I‘m so glad I‘m reading it around Christmas, as the feeling it leaves you with is perfect for Christmas time. This might even be my favourite book of 2021! My heart is bursting with hope and joy💙 I really recommend this highly! I also enjoyed learning more about Eid ☺️

Arrived too late for Eid this year so I‘m saving it for my class next year 💛

This is a collection of middle grade fiction written by Muslim authors surrounding Eid. I didn't know much about Eid going into listening to this audiobook, and I learned a lot from it. The stories were fun; nothing mind-blowing, but easy to listen to and important culturally I think to learn about other celebrations. Would definitely recommend for that aspect alone

Well this was a delightful middle grade book. I picked it up from the library to read something about a holiday I don‘t celebrate. I actually didn‘t realize it was middle grade when I picked it, but it was a nice change of pace from what I typically read. I also added some books to my TBR from authors in the anthology. 5⭐️

Loving this book about Muslim kids from all sorts of backgrounds and how they celebrate Eid around the world.

Ran to my local #indie after I finished work today, hoping my favorite bookseller was working. She was, and my whole visit was just so joyful. I picked up the tagged book, which I preordered, but thanks to COVID and distributor issues, just arrived! I also picked up a couple recent releases that I was dying to get my hands on. (Everyone had masks and practiced social distancing 💖) #bookhaul

Liked these stories as even though they were all around a central theme of Eid, but depicted a wide range of cultures, family backgrounds and age ranges.
In one of the stories it showed how muslim people treat other muslims differently based on their beliefs.
Growing up I have barely read any book with a muslim lead character. This book very closely depicts the experiences almost every muslim kid has around Eid, filled with good vibes and family.

The stories are fun and wholesome. For non-Muslims, like myself, this book is a window into the Islamic culture. Muslim children will be able to see themselves in these stories and experience the same emotions the children in the stories experience. Perfect for anyone who wants to learn about the holidays of other cultures.
