Hillary Rodham Clinton: Some Girls Are Born to Lead
Hillary Rodham Clinton: Some Girls Are Born to Lead | Michelle Markel, LeUyen Pham
10 posts | 5 read | 5 to read
In the spirit of Barack Obama: Son of Promise, Child of Hope and Amelia and Eleanor Go for a Ride comes an inspiring portrait of Hillary Rodham Clinton, the first female presidential nominee in United States history: a girl who fought to make a difference and paved the way for women everywhere from Michelle Markel and LeUyen Pham.In the 1950s, it was a man s world. Girls weren t supposed to act smart, tough, or ambitious. Even though, deep inside, they may have felt that way. And then along came Hillary. Brave, brilliant, and unstoppable, she was out to change the world. They said a woman couldn t be a mother and a lawyer. Hillary was both. They said a woman shouldn t be too strong or too smart. Hillary was fearlessly herself. It didn t matter what people said she was born to lead. With illustrations packed full of historical figures and details, this gorgeous and informative picture book biography is perfect for every budding leader. Includes a timeline, artist s note, and bibliography."

#MayMovieMagic Day 15: More than just blessed with a #SweetDisposition, HRC is born to lead. The story goes on to show her predisposition towards leadership and community service, as well as the many pivotal moments that inspired her. My review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-jrB

This book is so inspiring! I think this would be a great book for all young girls to read. It talks about everything Hillary has accomplished as well as the struggles she came upon while being a woman in predominantly male professions. It doesn't try to push a certain political view, it just talks about Hillary's accomplishments. 💪💪💪💪/5 (4/5)

I found this in front of our house. My sweet Lucy, the eternal (if a bit irrational) optimist, is not giving up! ❤

SuperPunkNinja I love this! ❤❤❤ 8y

Okay guys! #24in48 starts in less than three hours! I've got my pile ready. I'm not going to read all of these (I'm not @Liberty ), but I wanted to have a pre-selected pile to choose from with lots of different titles and genres so I don't get bored! I've also prepped a few reading spots, so now all that's left to do is have a little nap so I'm ready to go at midnight!

brilliantglow I'm excited to get started. I didn't prep a list though. I'm just going to read what I have picked out to complete my reading challenges for this year. 8y
NCNY I saw you were sponsoring some of the prizes. That is so awesome. I'm in the US so can't win your prizes, but thanks! 8y
Reviewsbylola I really admire your dedication!! 8y
LeahBergen Woo hoo! 8y
Jenshootsweddings @NCNY ❤ I know what it's like to miss out on prizes/contests due to location, so I thought I'd help make it a little easier for everyone joining in from afar! 8y

Early voting at the library! I just did my part to help elect the first female POTUS! Woohoo!

saresmoore Fun facts: Not only is it Hillary's birthday, but she's currently in my city, having just finished a rally! 😁 8y
BrownGirlReading Now that's pretty cool! I live in France and my daughter just voted in her first American elections. She was very proud to vote Hillary. We both were. Now let's just keep our fingers crossed that everything is going to work out just fine. I'll be devasted and disappointed in my country otherwise. 8y
saresmoore @BrownGirlReading I wholeheartedly agree. I'm hopeful! 8y

Meg11726 #imwithher I'm Canadian but I got everything crossed possibly for Hillary. It will be a scary scary world (worse than now) if she doesn't get in and who know who does. I can't even say his name. 8y
saresmoore @Meg11726 Let's just call him Voldemort... Indeed, it would affect so much more than just the U.S. to have someone like him in office. I can't even entertain the possibility! 8y

Today some dude asked for books about, "Hillary Clinton, the criminal." Should have given him this.

OSChamberlain What's criminal is that they'll be allowed to vote for trump 😑 8y

I have yet to come across a single inspirational children's book about Donald Trump.

BookishFeminist But there is an excellent children's book satire! Lol 8y
TheApesOfWrath @BookishFeminist I saw that! My general philosophy is not to buy things that will be detritus by the next election cycle, but who knows.. 8y
BookishFeminist I have the same philosophy but boy is it tempting. Also I have never bought election gear but I am totally changing that for Hillary this year. 👍🏼 8y
