This is, hands down, the best action thriller I‘ve ever read (to date). It had mystery, espionage, romance and everything a tech geek could ask for.

From the Publisher:
John Smith has a special gift that seems more like a curse: he can access other peoples thoughts.

🎧 Though the story opens with a great action scene, there‘s a bit of a slog through expositional material which I‘ll forgive as this is the first-in-series, and because after the slog, the action really takes off. It‘s a fun thriller about a CIA-trained psychic who goes freelance. TW for graphic description of waterboarding. The audiobook narrator, Bronson Pinchot seemed a little bored at the beginning but delivered a decent performance overall

🎧 Sooo, I actually wanted to listen to ‘flashmob‘ (by Christopher Farnsworth, narrated by Bronson Pinchot) but I discovered that it is the *second* book in the John Smith series, and I do believe in “first things first!”

This is some sort of SFF/Techno-/Cyber- punk story about a guy who can jack into your thoughts (?) We‘ll find out soon (starting this one tomorrow!)

TobeyTheScavengerMonk Color me intrigued... 6y

#TBRtemptation post! An action-packed thriller. John Smith can access people thoughts. He hears songs stuck in their heads, knows their traumas & fears, etc. The CIA honed his skills & made him a powerful agent. To avoid his abilities' dark side, he works privately now. His latest client, a billionaire software guru, wants intellectual property retrieved from a whiz kid. But then he's on the run from some dark enemies. #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😎
