For the most part, She Came To Stay was just good. Not rush-out-into-the-street-and-shout-about-it good, like The Bell Jar, just good enough to keep going. I felt like it was a bit too long; after just 150 pages, I was wondering where on earth it could possibly go, so the final sections dragged a bit.
