Jo was my very first #rebelgirl She rebelled against what were gender norms for girls and women in her era. Although the concept of being a tomboy is debated now (because being brave and physical doesn‘t mean you‘re more like a boy than a girl anyway!) - it was so helpful to me as a child to see a girl in fiction that raced and fought and said just what she thought ✊
