A random woman stopping a wedding, which was really a marriage of convenience, started out as an interesting plot twist on the fake dating trope. But the story quickly went downhill for me from there. I never felt the connection between Solange & Dean. Mostly I was just bored in between some really random scenes.

Very much enjoyed this romance set in DC! It turns out it is accidentally the second in the series, which I had not realized, but I will go back and read the first.

Funny and charming, cute and steamy fake dating romcom :)

This was a lot of fun. A rare true rom com that plays with so many common romance tropes - marriage of convenience, fake dating, friends to lovers being key. Though book 2 of a series, this works as a standalone. 4.5⭐️

Laugh out loud funny, sweet, and just the right balance of sexytimes. I adored Dean and Solange and Solanges whole family so much.

This book just... goes, in a way that felt detrimental the further I got in. I didn't feel attached to these characters at all, which is kind of shocking. I remember enjoying The Worst Best Man, but this didn't remotely work for me.

I am thoroughly enjoying this. It‘s funny and the main characters are just awesome.

Dean and Pony by Ginuwine will live rent free in my head for awhile

Everyone should be so lucky to have an amazing extended family like Solange
If you are looking for a laugh out loud, steamy, heartwarming romance this is your book ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I love a good fake dating novel! When a woman Dean's never met derails his wedding, he's not devastated, but what will be devastating is if his lack of significant other affects his ability to make partner at his law firm. Solange knows she did the right thing stopping Dean's wedding, but she knows she owes Dean, so when he needs to convince his law firm that he's in a serious relationship, she's willing to be his fake girlfriend.
