I was excited to continue this series, but the book was long winded. An additional hundred pages that were repetitive and unnecessary for the story. An interesting tale of monsters that rule the underworld and a glimpse of how taxing power can be.

The second of a duology with For the Wolf, this is epic fantasy in all the best ways. Other worlds, magic, love and hate, monsters and gods. All tied up with a deep examination of good and evil and what each truly means. What it means to be a monster; what it means to be human. And how close we each are to both. Truly an excellent read. Bit of a chunkster, but worth every minute.
I‘ve been looking forward to this sequel, so it seemed like a good pick for a cozy snowed in morning…
I loved this! Twisty and deep and sharp. The romance was excellent but I absolutely adore that the love between sisters is more important than any romance. I will definitely be reading Hannah Whitten‘s next book!
“No one was wholly one or the other. Goodness was a daily choice, endless possibility, a decision at every crossroads.”
Good end to this duology, sometimes a bit slow, but overall very enjoyable!
🎧 📚 I enjoyed this one better than the first. It wrapped up all plots. It‘s a fairytale retelling so don‘t expect reality. I‘m glad if already ordered a special edition. Sisters. One for the wolf, one for the throne.

Stunning. A satisfying and well written conclusion to the duology. A new favourite series for me. I loved For the Wolf and loved this one as much. Each book is a complete story in its one right, telling one sister‘s journey. Together they tell the wider story of their world.
I had no idea how perfect both the covers are in this duology until I put them side by side! Gorgeous! 💕📚 #catsoflitsy #littenkitten #chaplin

I really loved For the Wolf, and I was so excited with where it left off because I thought the premise of For the Throne was incredible, but it fell short of my hopes. I liked a lot of the shadowlands stuff, but the rest fell short. There were more romance subplots, but somehow this book felt a lot less romantic to me.
I can‘t wait for the next book! That pretty much sums this one up. I‘m loving the world building and the various characters and their storylines. This book kept me company the other day when my dad was taken to the hospital. It completely kept me occupied whilst he was undergoing tests. This is definitely a keeper book and book 3 can‘t come out soon enough.
She couldn't sleep.

Eeeeeee! So excited this arrived today! I loved the first book, For the Wolf, so I'm super hyped for this one! ❤️📖🐺
I was in the path of a derecho yesterday. It was pretty scary actually. Never seen it get dark that fast. My city's electricity was out for 26 hours and so many trees down and roofs damaged. Besides helping make sandwiches for city and county crews today, I had nothing else to do but read while I waited. I read a fantasy and a sci fi. Both 2nd books in their series and both picks. They helped me get through the tense wait.
