Got my second home grown book box and it‘s another winner! I can‘t wait to get stuck into this book, it looks amazing.
The chocolate and chips were delicious, the book bag is already in use and those stickers are finding homes all over my house.

This was a fun book to try and figure out what was going on…it pulls you in quite effortlessly. Despite the ending feeling somewhat unbelievable…I was still engaged throughout. The narration performed by a full cast, played a role in that engagement.

There definitely are many characters who could be suspects, but Mr. Barclay keeps us guessing and in the dark as he leaves his thoughts hanging at the end of the chapters.

Andrew's wife went missing six years ago. Everyone thinks he murdered her but they cannot prove it. Suddenly, she is spotted at their old house. Is it her or a decoy?
pickI *really* enjoyed this! I was hooked from the get-go, off balance for most of the ride, tricked and tricked again by all of the smoke and mirrors. I couldn't read it fast enough because I just had to pull back all of the layers. I love it when a thriller actually feels fresh and atypical! My first book by this author, but you best believe I'll be grabbing more of his work 👏🏽

so-soThis one just wasn‘t for me, I felt like I was looking forward to the conclusion 1/4 of the way in. Oh well…on to the next!

pickBrie disappeared years ago, with her beleaguered husband Andrew suspected. But now there are sightings suggesting she has returned. I‘m a fan of Barclay and this one didn‘t disappoint! I didn‘t guess the ending and found it really satisfying.
pickI got such a high reading this book! I maintain that books are the best drugs, provided you find the ones that work with your needs. I need murder and mayhem. 🤷♀️ No, really, I just need a good mystery to solve and Take Your Breath Away scratched that particular itch!

pickTook me a little longer to get into this one than his others that I‘ve read, but the suspense is definitely there!

pickI hadn‘t read 1 of Barclay‘s books in a long time & it felt good to read one of his again! I really enjoyed this 1 & it would make a great movie. I really enjoyed the pace and Andrew as the main character. At times it switched narrators a lot but it all pieced together nicely. I‘ve gone back & bought a couple of his previous novels I didn‘t have in mass market paperbacks. I feel like they‘re such a good deal. I highly recommend this one!

pickAnother enjoyable thriller from this consistently good author. This new release is another fun read, with some good twists and well developed characters. While it is not the book that is going to change your life, it does provide a few hours of great entertainment. I enjoyed it and gave it 4/5 stars.
