Woof…this story was another slow one. I keep reading this series, because I enjoyed her previous series, and I am interested to know how it ends. Not great reasons, but here we are🤷🏻♀️

Solid fantasy read 🗡 Enjoyed this a little more than book one, which I did also enjoy. Felt more involved in the world and a little more on top of what was going on, a lot more invested, and I‘m definitely looking forward to book 3 - but I think I‘ll reread 1 and 2 when that time comes. There‘s a lot of names, lands and details to keep track of in these books. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hoping for an hour or so before anyone else gets up!

She‘s on number one (left) and I‘m on number two 😁
I was afraid, going into this one, that I wasn't going to remember who any of these characters are since I read the first book last summer, but so far I haven't forgotten much, surprisingly! 😂💕📚
1/2) The biggest challenge I had driving my new book life into my gaming life was trying to balance both since I generally play RPGs which take many hours per game. Mostly I read during the work nights (Sun night to Thursday night) and game Friday and Saturday.) Though it overlaps sometimes.
3) Fantasy and Sci-fi are my main genres. But I've been branching out more and more, mostly thanks to BOTM and Bookish Box.

1) Definitely magic. Especially Ancient magic or Fae magic. Zero-to-Hero stories where a character starts at the lowest possible rung with hidden or long forgotten, powerful magic. Aelin, Feyre, Poppy…etc.
2) Throne of Glass, ACOTAR, FBAA, Shadow and Bone, Seven Realms/Shattered Realms.

I‘m beginning to think this it‘s not the author it‘s me. Her writing style just isn‘t my cuppa. Although her world building is imaginative I just wasn‘t able to connect to the story. This goes for the first in the series and this one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Picks up moments after the first book, this new release did not disappoint. Corayne and her unusual group of heroes have to figure out what is next and how to save the realm. This one was a fantasy lovers dream with lots of high stake action, magical creatures and epic quests. Corayne is slowly becoming the hero everyone needs her to be. #seriesread2022
LOOK WHAT JUST ARRIVED OMG! 🎉🎉🎉💕📚
Thinking I may need to up my goal. Only halfway through the year and already met it. Then again, I purposely set it low so I didn't put a massive amount of pressure on myself just to read whatever so I would meet the goal. I decided to focus on reading for ME this year...not for the goal.
