Pretty good story in a humorous quirky way. Kind of like his Alcatraz books. I did not like some of the humor though from the official “guide” Plot is good. Redemptive message.

Starting a new one by a local author. I have only read two of his before.
I liked the theme and the character journey a lot here. It's a book that talks about serious things in a humorous way.
This is entertaining.
I only read 8 books in November. Hopefully, I have a lot of reading time in December to at least get closer to my GoodReads goal. 😅
4✨I didn‘t know what to expect for this second secret book. At first we don‘t know what‘s really going on and I had to go back because I felt a little lost. I relate this more to my busy life at the moment though and my mind not completely committing. As our MC learns about themselves we also learn secrets that change goals and the reality that he knows. The world building is complex and futuristic which was what really got me.
Kind of prefer the bookstore cover to this kickstarter version…
I am so proud of F. She got so many badges I have to take a reading break to rest my fingers from sewing them on. 🥰
This was my first Sanderson, and I really enjoyed it. I did get major hitchhiker vibes, but I loved that. I also found his postscript interesting of how this story came to be. A great light-hearted read to come out of covid, likely what a lot of people needed.
Super excited to get this beauty in the mail. 😍😍😍

Bookhaul! I‘m LOVING Tress of the Emerald Sea, so I had to pick up the tagged as well. I‘m excited for the others too! Then I‘m slowly getting the Blue Lock Manga and want to start this Narwhal comic series with my oldest. The cup my niece brought back for me from exclusive Starbucks cups only in Hawaii! So excited! Plus a bookmark of course!
Sanderson wrote about this book: "This is the odd man out in the group of secret projects [...]. It's not in the Cosmere, it's in first person, and it's more science fiction than fantasy."
It's a fast read, has some funny comics in between the different parts of the book, but the (not exactly) time travel story didn't really work for me.
This was a disappointment, though thankfully I had watched a few reviews so I was ready for it. It is part Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur‘s Court, part Hitchhikers guide. Our protagonist finds himself in some kind of medieval England without his memories, with only scraps of a book. Adventure ensues as he figures out who he is. There are two main problems with this story -⬇️
LOOK WHAT FINALLY ARRIVED! 💙🩵💙🩵
This is the second of Brandon Sanderson's secret novels that he wrote during the pandemic. While I did get the regular edition already, this is the special Kickstarter edition! Love the bookmark, sticker, and pin too! 🥰 I hope the third box comes out a bit faster than the first two did! 🙊 I liked Tress a bit more than this one, but this one was a downright riot! I enjoyed it very much and laughed so hard!
It's a Sanderson Saturday! 🥰📚 It was strawberry shortcake day at the farmer's market this morning! 🍰 In addition to yummy strawberry shortcake I also got a ton of cherries and strawberries! 🍓🍒 A perfect summer snack to enjoy while starting Brandon Sanderson's newest book!

At the start of this book, I got very strong Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy vibes. And my brain kept holding onto this idea for way too deep into the book. Realising this, I decided to put the book down for a while and re-set my way of thinking. This worked wonders and the second half of the book really entertained me for what it was supposed to be. I‘ll read it again in the future with a different mindset.
🎧 I‘m not currently a Sanderfan so take this with a grain of salt.
I enjoyed the book. A bit action adventure sci-fi. I liked Tress more BUT I want to reread this.
I imagine the book might be better.
Man wakes up in medieval England with no memory but an interdimensional travel handbook.
So I see why some readers might not like this because it‘s not Stormlight & maybe that‘s why I enjoyed it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/4
This was a lot of fun. Very different from most of Sanderson's work. Not in the cosmere at all, not connected to anything else in fact. MC starts with amnesia and we learn about them as they learn about themselves. This was the funniest Sanderson book I've read. Multiple laugh out loud moments for me.
4.5 stars. Good writing, nice character growth, left room for a sequel, not enough talking bananas.
