#Fairyloot special edition sequel of a fun book. I also enjoyed this story. Different but just as good. Cozyish. Can‘t wait for book 3.

I loved the first book in the series and was disappointed by this second book. There‘s no sense of urgency, no heated banter, and goddess knows I hate anything that even hints of a love triangle. Hate. It. Plus, the general plot was completely ridiculous, even for a cozy-ish fantasy. I‘m not sure if I‘ll bother with the third book when it releases next year, although I‘d like to learn more of Rosie, so maybe.
A love a visit back into this weird and sweet world, and the friends to lovers romance between Twyla and Frank was just so wonderful!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I absolutely loved Bannen‘s previous “The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy” and was pleasantly surprised when I found the next book in the series at my library. “The Undermining of Twyla and Frank” was just as cute with adorable dragons, humor, and witty banter. I very much look forward to the next installment in this series!
We had a 7 hour flight on Saturday (plus some delays on the runway). I started and finished this book on the flight. I also listened to the first 3 Harry Potter movies.
This book was really good. I liked getting a mom/52 year old woman POV. I don‘t think I liked it as much as the first one, but still enjoyed being back in that world.
Covid had me spending most of August watching my emotional support sitcoms, so my main goal for #ForTheLoveOfBooks is to catch up on what's left of my August reading. It helps to have a little structure! Also helps that my brains kinda works again.

Finished Book 2 in this series (The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy) & was happy to be back in Tanria again. While the first book was more You‘ve Got Mail, this one is labeled as “When Harry Met Sally-but with dragons!” It features middle-aged Tanrian Marshalls & best friends Twyla & Frank but there are visits from the characters of the first book & pink dragons. How can you resist a pink baby dragon? It‘s cute, fun ⬇️
I wandered, unsupervised into a bookshop - quite restrained of me to walk out again with only two new books (and a couple added to my Libby tbr)
Saw this was delivered while I was home for lunch, so grabbed it from the package room on the way back to work. Loved the first book, The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy, so very excited for this one. This is the FairyLoot special edition.

So, I bought an ebook from Amazon of this book. And I just started reading it today. This popped up.. and the next page says how it‘s an arc.
Then the next page is maps which aren‘t there. So not sure if I should just request a refund because I‘m not spending $10 on an ARC…
Help!!
4/5
Twyla is a middle aged mom, widow, and Tanrian Marshall. Now that Tanria is free of drudges, her job along with her partner and best friend Frank, is a lot less dangerous until they make the discovery of a lifetime.
I had a little trouble jumping back into the world of Tanria, but I really enjoyed Twyla's perspective as a middle aged mom who doesn't feel very appreciated by her family. I also loved the updates on Hart and Mercy.
