The writing is great, the characters all despicable. You need a bit of a trigger warning for some stories, and generally all the creepy old men got away with their bull.
I loved it, but I also hated everyone and the author was probably a creep IRL.
Me: A rigid man who dates so many hot books.

I was disappointed when I found that this short story collection suppose to have seven stories instead of only three, which this Indonesian translation print provides. Maybe the rest are too vulgar/explicit for Indonesian readers. The stories included in this collection are Nobody Will Laugh, Symposium and Let the Old Dead Make Room for the Young Dead.

I'm currently reading the Indonesian translation of this book. Unfortunately, it only contains three stories instead of the original seven. Could they be too explicit for Indonesian readers? 🤔
I know you are a straightforward man, and that you pride yourself on it. But put one question to yourself: why in fact should one tell the truth? What obliges us to do it? And why do we consider telling the truth a virtue? Imagine that you meet a madman, who claims that he is a fish and that we are all fish. Are you going to argue with him? Are you going to undress and show him that you don't have fins? Are you going to say what you think?
