This will be one of my top 10 of 2024.
I do think the love of this book is heightened if you‘ve read the other 4 books in this world, which are set roughly 20 years before this plot starts.
The pacing and how it weaves between different points of view, then brings them together in a way I did NOT see coming, is so clever. The content, as with the previous books, is bleak, violent and grim - but the characters are incredibly loveable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My most anticipated read for December is Heir by Sabaa Tahir. I love her Ember in The Ashes series 💛

Reading this before book club tomorrow. Enjoying some coffee shop ambience on the tv and the Christmas lights. #currentlyreading
This book was too slow for me to always stay interested. It seemed a little bit longer than necessary, and I did not connect with the characters as well as I would have liked. I did, however, appreciate a couple of the twists. Ruh was the most fleshed out character that I liked.
#readingbracket2024 I read so many five star books this month but my favorite of October was definitely the new Sabaa Tahir book. It‘s a top read of the year for sure. Only a few spots left!
I absolutely loved the new Tahir book! She never disappoints me. The world building is fantastic. Lots of interesting and amazing characters all coming together to fight the same evil for various reasons. Found families, a great love story and a great cliffhanger ending- what more could you want? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
