This might be perfect for Taylor Swift fans, though it didn't quite work for me. I typically enjoy both musically driven stories and puzzling murder mysteries, and while this was entertaining enough, it didn't blow me away—possibly due to believability issues. That said, I've been a tough sell lately.
🎙️The narration by Deborah McBride was decently performed.
panCamp NetGalley led me here but as a music nerd and dabbler in entertainment journalism, this was ridiculous.
I guess if you suspend disbelief, this can feel like a fun popcorn thriller but I couldn‘t get past how flimsy and undercooked the plot essentially was. FMC is a gossip mag journalist who makes wild assumptions based on essentially nothing…and she‘s right? Nah.

pickThis book was written for me and all conspirators globally. Whether it's who replaced Avril Lavigne, Were Furbies spying on us or did aliens build the pyramids, I'm all in. I LOVE a conspiracy.
Add to that TikToks, Internet sleuths and secret symbols, I'm in my element.
Then the sister loss / grief representation - chef's kiss. This is never well portrayed in a thriller, yet they smashed it here.
