This book was so much fun! To summarize: senior protagonist dealing with a unique curse, a chaos-loving hobgoblin, a powerful no-nonsense woman business partner, general hilarity, and inclusivity throughout. My husband received this book in a book exchange and it's quickly become a favorite. The audiobook was amazing too! (We haven't read other books in the Iron Druid series).

Three Canandian college friends take a trip to New York City. Their adventures are expressive and so much that happens in this book feels urgent like it burns too hot too fast. I love the character and page designs, especially their trip to the museum. The ending felt like falling flat on my face.

Sun Trap | Rachel Wolf

An entertaining thrill ride from the start, this was an enjoyable read. Sun Trap follows a Hollywood movie crew to the Abu Dhabi desert, where the filmmaking gets deadly. This is one of the books with constant action. I was invested in the story although I did not feel connected to the characters at all. Especially after the half way mark there was twist after twist after twist. Also, is this not one of the most gorgeous covers you've ever seen?

Yuki_Onna Thank you, Netgalley and Aria & Aries, for the chance to read a copy in exchange for an honest review!

This Golden Age crime novel from 1923 is a weak pick. The plot is not terribly plausible and there is a lot of melodrama but I still enjoyed the story.

LeahBergen Just like her other one that I read! 😆 5d
kwmg40 @LeahBergen Yes, there was a lot of melodrama in that one too! Despite the eye-rolling moments, I'm willing to read more Annie Haynes. Her novels are definitely entertaining. 2d

As usual, lots of implausible things happen to Nancy and friends, but this time involving the Kennedy Space Center, which is an interesting aspect. The plot's a mess, but the book was still fun to read.

Jari-chan I'm still on track and even find some books to fit for prompts I thought were pretty tricky 😁 6d

Picked this to read a robot book for #gottacatchemall

I actually ended up really enjoying it. I‘m going to pick up the next one too! A tea monk goes into the wilderness, because they feel they‘re missing something and meets a robot.

Faranae Just a reminder that Dex's pronouns are they/them and their title is Sibling (some people in their monastic order use binary pronouns and titles, but they don't). 😅 2w

I‘m always delighted to find books that combine the winter holidays I celebrate! Watching Sheldon and Theo navigate each other‘s very different quirks was adorable and hilarious. It helps that I also happen to enjoy the fake dating trope. #LGBTQIA #Holidays

Pop icon & Grammy winner Harlow Hayes is arrested for murder. Tabloid journalist Naomi Barnes, who still grieves the death of her sister, is to cover the story. Is Harlow Hayes a cold-blooded killer?
You could tell the fun Kelly and Kristina Mancaruso had writing Rumoured and the deep sisterly bond they share is palpable throughout the book in the MC and her relationship with her sister.
...

Yuki_Onna Continued:

I've got to admit that the direction the story took toward the end lost me a bit, and I don't necessarily think this is a thriller. #Rumoured feels more like a contemporary mixed-media kind of story with a bit of a mystery element (and many Easter Eggs!) mixed in. Oh, and the cover is stunning. A fast-paced, fun & addictive read.

Thanks to #Netgalley and Aria & Aries, for the chance to read a copy in exchange for an honest review!
