Pickpick

I love this sweet little children‘s novel. I think I picked up this copy from a library book sale from my elementary school when I was in 2nd grade. I found it at my mom‘s house last time I was there and just finished reading it to my boys. Creative story and cute illustrations.

1. The warm feelings and cooler weather.
2. Maybe The Bees, by Laline Paul.
3. The tagged is one of my current reads, reading to my kids. Was one of my favorite reads as a kid.

I was obsessed with this book as a kid, and I remember reading it multiple times.
The main characters discover a secret world #underground where the people speak their own language.

1) So many favourites, but I chose The Secret World of Og by Pierre Berton.
2) Chaos.
3) Both. But I find it harder to read in public.
4) I‘m what you‘d call ‘indoorsy‘. I like reading outside, does that count as outdoor activities? 🤔🤓📚

Thanks for a wonderful #weekendchat @CSeydel 🙏🏻😊

britt_brooke Reading outside totally counts! 6y
readherwriteher @britt_brooke perfect! Then yes, I like outdoor activities. 😊🙏🏻😂 6y
CherryPie I also learned chaos from books. 😊 6y
readherwriteher @CherryPie funny how you remember the words that you learn from books. 😊📚 Chaos was a real lightbulb moment for me. (edited) 6y
Cosmos_Moon I have a super old copy of this, that I read as a kid... it actually may have been my mom‘s... I just started reading to my boys last night. I remember loving it when I was a kid. (edited) 4y

#readitinschool in grade 5. Didn't feel too much for it at the time. Re-read it later on though, definately a solid piece of writing. I would read this to my kids (when or if I have them) for sure. #childhood #muchlove #aphotoadaynov16

My teacher read a little of this aloud each day in the 4th grade and I loved it, so I ordered a copy online for my own kids and then it arrived - ack! The illustrations inside are the same, but worse. I'm guessing my teacher had a different copy? #somethingforsept #septphotochallenge #uglycovers #uglycover @RealLifeReading

RealLifeReading Ok that cover makes it look like a scary story! 8y
KVanRead @RealLifeReading I know! And yet I remember it being quite magical! 8y
