Thursday's Child Has Far to Go
Thursday's Child Has Far to Go | Kay Susan Hack
1 post
(Partly based on my own true story) Some of us live in a world of frustration and discontent. Most of us long to break our chains of restriction and follow our dreams. This novel is about a young and beautiful girl named Jess Able. Her life was safe, routine and boring. She takes a leap of faith by walking out of her secure, mundane job in a large upmarket department store, working as a complaints manager. Jess is free spirited and has a zest for life, a zest of which her friends lack. Flying across the world to California USA, she seeks adventure and begins a new life. However, her stalker is waiting for her at Los Angeles airport. At first Jess acknowledges him and thinks nothing of his gaze. But, throughout the months that follow, he closes in on her. By meeting and falling in love with a handsome private detective, Bryce Hammond, she is drawn into a false sense of security when he is left in a coma from a near fatal car accident. Will Jess ever be free from the terrifying encounters with her stalker?

Today‘s haiku continues my “days of the week theme.” Today was less crazy than yesterday which is good but it‘s still not Friday. I was thinking that since I was born on Thursday, I have far to go according to the poem & that inspired today‘s work.

Thursday‘s child I have
"Far to go," but still I wait
Friday‘s not quite here
