Looks like I'm not the only one out in the snow at 1am lol spotted this all black skunk on my way home from work.
Now that I'm home I am so excited to curl up and read some more of this very interesting book about witches during the cold war.

I wish I wasn't on my way to work in the midst of this snowstorm. Would much rather be curled back up at home finishing my book.
Thanks @LibrarianRyan for the Super Fun #witchpleaseswap gifts! The scarf is truly awesome! Seriously Wicked sounds cute 😄 (I do love my teen witch). 💜 and on and on... 👍😁
Tilney couldn‘t sit in the full box, so he made do curling up on the lid 🤣
Many thanks for everything, Ryan!! 😘
Thanks @monalyisha for hosting 💚
Thoroughly mediocre, which is almost worse than it it had been bad, because it's such a great concept. If it had been one or two authors writing it, instead of a stable, I think it would have been a lot better. It picked up a bit by the end, but it was a real drag to get through overall. Can't recommend.
This one sounds so intriguing. Witches, CIA agents and the Cold War. Yes please. Found it in the bargain section at Chapters/Indigo for $7 ( and it's hardcover😍😍)
#riotgrams - Black books - It's so COLD here this morning! I have to leave for work soon: I'd rather curl up in a blanket and read #mypagehabitbook! 📚
I'm now far enough into THE WITCH WHO CANE IN FROM THE COLD that it feels good in the hand and stays open by itself when I lay it flat. Yay! Chunksters are so awkward to read before this stage.
And now, another episode of THE WITCH WHO CAME IN FROM THE COLD. I've neglected my reread, but the nice thing about serials is they're designed to be read in bits.
Tonight's book & tea selection: episode three of THE WITCH WHO CAME IN FROM THE COLD, paired with organic Kashmiri chai.
I had an awesome time with this episode, what with all the different threads various characters follow. Plus, it ends with one of those moments where the two main characters finally meet, well after the reader's watched their separate storylines gear up. I LIVE FOR those scenes, y'all.
I'm doing some more #outdoorreading on this warm Wednesday. EXCALIBUR was first up, followed by the second episode of #ColdWitch. The plot kicks up a notch with this one, and I'm starting to get excited about what I remember from the first time through. Rereads bring me joy.
Plus, we meet the gay characters in this ep. Yay, gay characters!
Outdoor reading: #24in48 edition. My family descended when I was midway through the first episode of #ColdWitch, so I'm gonna finish that before I dip into some comics.
Time to start my #ColdWitch reread! I love revisiting mysteries and spy thrillers because I get to play spot-the-foreshadowing. This one'll allow me to do that on multiple levels, since it's at once a Cold War thriller and a fantasy about warring magical factions that don't necessarily acknowledge geographical borders.
I love how the collected edition includes each episode's original cover, too. Hurray for illustrations! #24in48
Starting with the bigger one first. I've heard good things about the Serial Box projects, both this one and the Tremontaine one, but I haven't tried them yet.
#TBRtemptation post 5! This is alternative history and urban fantasy that has left many readers wanting more! Prague during the Cold War, where spies practice sorcery in their intrigue. Ice and Flame--the CIA and KGB--oppose one another in retro 1970s Le Carré style. This is an episodic serial with different writers for each "episode". You've binge watched Netflix, now binge read this ??. #blameLitsy #blameMrBook ?
Ack! These sales are killing me! It's the Cold War with witches! Co-created by Max Gladstone.

Just picked this up from the post office. I was wondering where it gone, as I kept seeing everyone else's pics! Love the striking cover. I'm interested to see how it reads as it was written as a serial, but it will have to wait until I come back from vacation. #PageHabit
Serial Box sent me some gorgeousness: the forthcoming print edition of THE WITCH WHO CAME IN FROM THE COLD! I'm excited to revisit the serial in an easy-to-flip-through format.
