#litsylove #litsyloveblitz My oldest letter to respond to is about 3 months back, but I have decided once again to send every LitsyLove member a postcard, so my letter writing will be further delayed. I'm happy with the idea, though, so hopefully this goes smoothly 😜

dabbe Does it have a 🫎 on it? 🤩🤩🤩 6mo

Thank you so much @quietjenn I am so looking forward to curling up with a blanket and this chunkster this winter! Thank you for the yummy chocolate which is at home because my Dad is not to be trusted around chocolate. 🤣 #JolabokaflodSwap

Pickpick

How to you summarize a book that 1500+ p? Without spoiling anything? I went into this not knowing anything and I think that‘s a good idea.

One thing that‘s for sure, is that I won‘t look at a rake in the same way again. In romance novels/ movies that have this romantic air about them. After reading this, I know there‘s nothing romantic about them

And also, your true friends are the ones that stay with you in the hardest of times

AnneCecilie Of course this chi later was too long at times, but at the same time I don‘t think I have ever read about a character I have hated as much as I hated Mr Lovelace. Thank you for organizing and initiating this buddy read @Lcsmcat I‘m glad we set up the 50p a week read. I read this through Gutenberg and never had any idea of how far into the story I was and that worked for me. 1y

#pemberlittens #janeadjacent #hashtagbrigade @StayCurious @BarkingMadRead

I've had an idea! Because we're doing Don Quixote (DQ) at the beginning of next year, it might be good to read this alongside/just after it? It's 464 pages - 559 pages shorter than DQ, so it could start in the second month of the DQ buddy read. It would be a good comparison piece to both DQ and Jane Austen - and I don't mind hosting it if you think it's a good idea!

BarkingMadRead I thinks that‘s too much for me, I have a lot of other buddy reads going on 1y
jenniferw88 @BarkingMadRead fair enough, it was just an idea! 1y
BarkingMadRead You could totally host it on your own if you wanted to, I just can‘t participate! (edited) 1y

September 20 #IdiomInsight Cool as a cucumber 🥒 😎 This was first used in a poem by John Gay In 1732.. And really, cucumbers are always cooler on the inside, even in hot weather. @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
