Cutting for Stone: A Novel | Abraham Verghese
post image

#25in25 we are halfway through the year and I am doing not as great as I could have hoped on the 25 books I have chosen to focus on in 2025.

I feel like July and August are going to be my time to shine on this! A perfect time to read Anne of Green Gables, Three, A Trace of Sun, all those lovely summer books.

I grabbed the audio of Cutting for Stone from my Library so will dive into that this month.

Current count 11/25

I am almost finished with the tagged. That and WDS need to go back to the library next weekend so those are priorities - after Giovanni's Room

Happy Place I grabbed on audio and is part of my #25in25 & #14in14 so want to ✅ that off. It will be my first Henry.

Marsha - this looks incredible and I am looking forward to it, trying to read one NF a week this Pride

And then A Gentleman's Gentleman for pure fun!

Julsmarshall Love that goal! 2mo

@thearomaofbooks

It is Pride month!! I have thrown in a few of my #25in25 and #14booksin14weeks that are not LGBTQ to keep up my momentum but for the most part everything I read in June is always all Gay.

TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!! 2mo

Pulling my #14books14weeks pile. Most of these are going to be from my not doing well #25in25 @Liz_M

Liz_M There's some wonderful reads on that stack! I hope you do get to some of them! 2mo
ChaoticMissAdventures @Liz_M I love a challenge especially when there is accountability (even if that accountability is just social media posts). 2mo

WOW! I cannot believe I did it. Having not read consistently for YEARS and getting hooked on Fourth Wing at the start of 2025, I decided to challenge myself to read 25 books this year. NEVER did I imagine that four and a half months later I would already achieve my goal! What‘s next? I have a few mysteries to finish and then I think maybe I will challenge myself to another 25 books.

Heading quickly to the new year I am starting to think about 2025 goals, I gave to go on a pretty strict budget to pay off some things and pad my savings so I am focusing on my IRL TBR I am going to do my 25 in 25 from my already owned shelf. Funny (not so much) when picking I had trouble finding 25 I was actually excited about. Whatever I don't finish next year might be time for a culling.

BarbaraBB I hope both books by Valerie Perrin are on you #25in25 challenge. They are soooo good. As is 7mo
AnneCecilie What @BarbaraBB said about Perrin. I also spot Happy Place and the Copenhagen Trilogy, especially the last book in that trilogy is amazing. Martyr is on my the as well (edited) 7mo
ChaoticMissAdventures @BarbaraBB @AnneCecilie I put Three on the challenge, but will probably read both. I read Flowers, and was so blown away by it I immediately bought these 2 ... 2 years ago. They are ones I am excited about. And Cutting For Stone is one of my ex-mom-in-laws favorite books, I have been telling her for years I will read it 😂 Martyr! is from the library so I have to get that done and back probably before end of year. So many books! 7mo
BarbaraBB @AnneCecilie I want to read The Copenhagen Trilogy too. Thanks for the heads up 7mo
