July 2025 Book #8

Late to the party because this is my first novel by this author but I own a couple of her novels🤷🏽‍♀️I really enjoyed this thriller. It has many twists and the suspense is all through the story. It had a couple of trigger topic which I recommend to explore before and when abuse is present, we know there will be sad parts. There will some disappearances and one person returns 11 years later…⬇️

July 2025 Book #2

First book in a series. I like this author writing style. Her stories not always are too scary but they are so atmospheric, you feel the creepy vibes, eerie ambience. Keira “takes refuge in an abandoned groundskeeper‘s cottage”. (From blurb) She can listen the dead and start to help one of them…and things start to get complicated. Perfect! Ready for the second one 3.8⭐️👻

June 2025 Book #3

I keep reading this author thrillers because they are entertaining but I don‘t love them. Usually the premise is good with various good twists but nothing that impact me. With that said, I liked it but not loved it. I probably read her next novel🤷🏽‍♀️3/3.5⭐️

May 2025 Book #1

I really wanted to like this book but it was a little disappointed to me. It has mixed reviews, people love it or not. Well, I‘m one of those who didn‘t like it much. That beginning was just unrealistic and then even when it has creepy scenes, it didn‘t make any sense unless you “imagine” what you want to happen. For me was more like a mental health situation. No, it wasn‘t for me 2.5/3⭐️

I am almost finished with the tagged. That and WDS need to go back to the library next weekend so those are priorities - after Giovanni's Room

Happy Place I grabbed on audio and is part of my #25in25 & #14in14 so want to ✅ that off. It will be my first Henry.

June TBR bookcase I have a few library books I need to get through, but mostly my focus is the books up top. Pride Month🌈

I have been reading Giovanni's Room in June for the last couple of years so wrapping up what I am reading now and then starting that. I hear Matt Bomer reads the audio if you have not read the book and would like to do it on audio!
The stack on the back left is my #14in14 which I am 1.5 books into!

In addition to #14in14 this summer (well, it's 15 books to read, but work with me!), I have decided to read 7 short stories.

I've never read Faulkner, never read Plath beyond “The Bell Jar“, and haven't read Hemingway since high school and “The Old Man and the Sea.“

The rest are Kindle books languishing on my device for who knows how long.

Also, I want to finish Kalayna Price's Alex Croft series so those last 3 are listed.

I just got in the KC Davis book and will read that on/after Memorial Day (it has holds at the library!)

Most of these have been checked out too long and I need to clear the reading cart!
