Just thought l'd mention yesterday the #AtoZChallenge has started... in case where l've disappeared to.

So l reveal the theme of my #AtoZChallenge for this year. I'm back to Weimar Germany, exploring 1920s cabaret more closely. I'm sure it will be a fantastic journey.

As per the challenge, l'll be posting one post a day on my blog for the entire month of April (except Sundays) following the letters of the alphabet.
If you fancy coming along, head here https://theoldshelter.com/berliner-cabaret-atozchallenge-2019-theme-reveal/

I loved listening to this book in the car.
Overall it was a great listen. I felt it could have done without some of the language. I loved listening to different perspective on life.

I got this in a bok swap last year, and picked it up this year because it was a Q boon for #AtoZchallenge and it fits #nonfiction2019. It was not all that great, but some good points were made.

Pickpick

A: First book of my #AtoZchallenge ! I forgot to take a book picture while in Thailand so here‘s a picture of my reading location 😍! Anonymous girl was a decent follow up to one of my favorites The Wife Between Us. While it was a little predictable, it made for a super entertaining beach read over the New Year!

🌟🌟🌟⭐️/5

#AtoZchallenge

I decided to participate in the a to z challenge this year.
So a new challenge for myself this year is to do the same with picture books that are new to me. Here are my first 3. #picturebook #janbrett #AtoZchallengepicturebook

Time for the bookish discussion question of the day 😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻! Here it is: Which reading challenges are you undertaking in 2019? #BookTalk

The_Literary_Jedi I‘m going to simply try to read in general. It‘s my first official year as a permanent teacher so my focus is my class but I get to read several great books including The Scarlet Letter, Outliers, Into the Wild, and Brave New World 📚😀 12mo
julesG Too many! Goodreads, Mount TBR, #LittenLoveBingo,... 12mo
Reecaspieces I usually do a couple. But this year I am just going to read one book from my shelf a month. Everything else will be blogging. Maybe I can get through some of these book expo books that are gathering dust 🙄 gasp...I know 12mo
See All 21 Comments
PatienceFortitude GoodReads Mount TBR challenge, to encourage me to read the books I own and also books I have made mental notes of on my Goodreads Want to Read list, which numbers in the 100‘s 12mo
LibrarianRyan Way too many. 12mo
TiredLibrarian @The_Literary_Jedi I'm with you. I don't usually do challenges because I want to be free to read what I want when I want. I do want to read a little more NF and poetry this year. 12mo
Victoria_reads No set challenge but maybe clear my ‘to read‘ pile! And try not to buy too many more! 12mo
CouronneDhiver Read whatever I feel like reading. No rules, no challenges. I know myself - I‘ll fall off the bandwagon 12mo
LauraBeth I didn‘t do any challenges in 2018 - so I‘m basically doing them all this year ☺️ 12mo
Susanita Read Harder, Booked2019, and Series Read. 12mo
kellyann28 #booked2019 and #pop19 (Pop Sugar Reading Challenge) ! I think I can do these for sure. 12mo
SilversReviews I ONLY do the Goodreads challenge that tallies the number of books read for the year. I don‘t like to do challenges that require a certain category or specific type of book. 12mo
bookwrm526 All of them? Maybe not all, but I have #booked2019, Book Riot Read Harder, Reading Women, Modern Mrs. Darcy, Litsy A to Z and Popsugar, and I‘m considering the bingo one bookishmarginalia recently made!! (edited) 12mo
OrangeMooseReads I‘m continuing my personal BOTM catch-up and keeping my Goodreads goal the same. Last year I challenged myself to read only books by and about POC in February and by and about Women in March, I‘ll probably do that again. 12mo
cwarnier #AtoZchallenge and #nonfiction2019 are my main two. I have never really tracked my reading, so this will be interesting. 12mo
BookBabe Ditto what @SilversReviews said: I ONLY do the Goodreads challenge that tallies the number of books read for the year. I don‘t like to do challenges that require a certain category or specific type of book. 12mo
8little_paws Read harder and reading women 12mo
SilversReviews @BookBabe 😍 Too much stress with the other kinds of challenges. 12mo
BookBabe @SilversReviews Yup! I concur! 😉 12mo
rwmg The ROOTS challenge over on LT is my main one, and any of the CAT and KIT challenges I can use books from my TBR shelves for. (ROOTS = Read Our Own TomeS) 12mo

I‘ll be on the lookout for more by the author since I really enjoyed the writing. Well paced thriller but the ending felt a little meh. #atozchallenge
