This mix of romance and paranormal fantasy was really, really for young adults.
This mix of romance and paranormal fantasy was really, really for young adults.
Faeries, action, romance, snarky comments, mystery, impending doom, Scotland, steampunk, secrets. That pretty much sums up this amazing book! This was everything ACOTAR wishes it was. It was so fast paced and action packed, the main character was so cool, and didn't need anyone to protect her, she had weaknesses which made her more believable. The storyline is the chosen one trope, but it was done so well. Now I need book 2 after the cliffhanger!
'This is me saving myself' -Aileana Kameron
This scene is 😍 Such badassery followed by action and snarky comments!
Well last year I only made it to 8 out of 26 and 17 out of 27 of my personal book goal. Here‘s to hoping this year will be the year!

So I got distracted and read a different book before picking this one up. It was definitely not what I was expecting. I thought it was going to be more of an epic fantasy, but it was more Victorian kind of Steampunk with faeries. It was a quick read and I enjoyed it and plan on continuing the series.
"Time won't fix me. Time allows me to become more skillful at hiding how much I hurt inside. Time makes me a great liar. Because when it comes to grief, we all like to pretend."
After much deliberation, this will be my next Kindle read. Edinburgh, 1844. Aileana Kameron only looks the part of an aristocratic young lady, she's spent the year since her mother died developing her ability to sense the presence of Sithichean, a faery race bent on slaughtering humans. She has a secret mission: to destroy the faery who murdered her mother. But when she learns she's a Falconer, her quest for revenge gets more complicated.
The Falconer is on my list of underrated reads. If you want a solid fantasy with a sassy pixie named Derrick, try this one. It is good!
Some of the books I‘ve bought recently. I can‘t wait to read them. #bookhaul
#LitsyPSA: The ebook is on sale for 60 cents! I‘ve not tried it yet, I think I bought it the last time I saw it on sale. It looks like some Littens have liked it and at 60 cents can you really go wrong?
I absolutely loved this! On to the second book!!
Soooooo many awesome kindle deals this month y‘all! Yes, you are seeing that price correctly!

Really good book, I was having my doubts but the last 100 pages really turned this book around for me! I enjoyed its steampunk element and Derrick as a character the most. The cliffhanger was enough to make me decide I want to continue with the series.
Excited to start this book
Been on "to read shelf" for awhile.
Had anyone else read it?

3.8 out of 5.00
I picked this book mainly because of the cover, and the steam punk element. It's a classic good vs evil, seelie and unseelie court, with bad-ass strong woman character, and over-the-moon fae male. Great ending such a cliff-hanger. Though i binge reading this book with several others, but the ending is enough for me to pick up the second book.
Another Kindle deal!
I‘ve seen this book quite a bit on Bookstagram — the cover is quite memorable!! And I just found it on Amazon for $0.60 — nothing to lose, at that price!!

I'm 50 pages from being done. This book is SO good. Also anyone else think that Kiaran reminds them a little bit of Rhys from ACOTAR? I'm so behind on updating my reviews on here. (Thanks to working 60 hours and being moved to 3rd shift recently) Also shockingly found out it was the debut novel of the author. Excellent writing, world building & character development. #thefalconer #acotar #rhys #kiaranmckay #fae #scaryfaeries #yabooks #moreplease
So excited to be starting this tonight! After finishing Everless and Falling Kingdoms I'm on to the next in my insane birthday haul TBR. Who's read this series? I love fae stuff so I've had this recommended to me. #faeya #faeries #yabooks #thefalconer #elizabethmay #fae #currentlyreading #readsof2018
Faeries, fighting, a little romance, pain, acceptance and a lot of ass kicking. I loved that there is always something happening in this story, no downtime ever. I would love to have a honey loving little faery who mends my clothes. I am going to assume (HOPE) there is going to be another book based on how the story ended on a cliffhanger which made me say more than a few curse words😂😂
Awesome book! It was almost as if Buffy were set in a Steampunk Victorian England with fairies instead of vampires and a fairy version of Spike was her watcher. Off to order the next 2 in the trilogy from the library!
Life saving information, who needs it? 🤷♀️

huh...that is not what I was expecting from this book. I picked it up mostly because of the cover and seeing it flagged somewhere as historical fiction and Scotland which is my wheelhouse. It is predominately a book about faeries.
The main character's inventions and science were left really underdeveloped and too much insta-love for my liking.
PS please note the skill of my pitbull taking up a whole loveseat
I think I'll be switching back and fourth between these two today!
I was planning on going to yoga today but my body is too destroyed from yesterday's personal training session.
These gorgeous books arrived today from the incredibly generous @Lizpixie 💕 Thank you so much!!!
Still need to read the last two books, but I loved the first one.
This is not what I expected. So much better, with evil fae, steampunk and a lot of action. I am excited to start book 2!
I really enjoyed this. It was a splendid mix of historical fiction, steampunk and fantasy. It was action-packed and fast paced with snarkey banter and a loveable set of main characters.
There weren't many surprises but it was still a fun read and I look forward to starting the second book soonest.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Finally got to add this beauty to my work in progress of a shelf
How gorgeous are these books? I read the first one and loved it. I just got book three and am looking forward to finishing the series.
I've been thinking about this one a lot lately, so I think it's probably time to start it. Also some #puppylove. 🐶😍
Enjoying this so far, especially because it takes place in Scotland and I've been planning my trip there this fall #currentlyreading
Book club this week, better start this one. I'm such a procrastinator! Oops.
Didn't even get halfway through this one before giving up. I really should have read the reviews first. 😔
I'm making a real effort to read some ARCs I've had for ages, and started this one last night. 100 pages in and quite enjoying it!
Originally loved this book, reading it the second time I still enjoyed it but didn't find the same love I initially had for the hotheaded heroine. Fast paced, you drop into the action almost immediately and it doesn't stop. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
