2025 Book of the Year - August update

The Woman with All the Answers was a fun quick read. We can all relate to this book in one way or another. The Inheritance was okay. It was just really hard for me to get into. So for the month of August, I have 1 thumb up and 1 thumb down.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I wasn‘t sure at first, but it was really good. I loved how the author arranged the chapters as you flowed through the book. August reading was tough for me with vacation. I have a husband that doesn‘t like to just sit around!!

July reading done!! The winner this month was Fools and Mortals. I don‘t know why I was drawn to this book but I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the banter of all the characters. The Likeness was a close 2nd and The Kingdom of Sweets came in last. Beginning vacay in 2 days and headed to South Dakota. Whoot Whoot!!

On to the 2nd half of the year!! Next year I might do this based on genres, it‘s so hard to pick a favorite each month.

Finally cleared out 2 books off my #roll100 list!! Both were good reads. FTC was cute and a fast read and I really enjoyed TWM. That is my 2nd book in the Black Harbor series and I will read the others at some point. Happy Summer everyone!!

Finally done with one of my March #roll100. Sooo 👍🏻. I am finding that I am enjoying this genre. This book had a lot of detail and at times I felt like my mind was wondering, but it would reel me back in for the good parts. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Another awesome month of reading!! Camping season is beginning- time to just relax, enjoy nature, see friends and read!!

I really enjoyed this 1st book in this series. It was Twilight meets Vampire Diaries and I hate to admit it but I loved both 😜. I will continue the series to see what happens to Brielle & Leo.

I loved this book!! I am usually the crime, horror, suspense, thriller kinda gal, but this book really touched me. I was fascinated by the descriptions of the culture and the family ties. I will definitely be reading Lisa See again.

Another good read for me and kept me guessing until the end. I love a good 1st chapter that keeps you coming back for more #bookspin completed 🙃

This book had me at the first page. I am new to this author and the Black Harbor series but now a fan and can‘t wait to pick up the rest of the series. I fell in love with the characters, which was easy to do. Just when you think you have the murder figured out, you get pulled in a different direction. I got my #doublebookspin finished before my book spin this month. @TheAromaofBooks

If you have not read this book, please do me a favor and put it on your #tbr list. This book had so many laugh out loud moments for me. I read this every few years because it is so lighthearted and it pulls me out of my #thriller and #historicalfiction genres. Sometimes you just need a change and this is definitely my go-to.

My first #bookspin and honestly I was like a kid at Christmas this morning!! I‘m excited for both of these books. Let‘s hope I can “Sleep Tight” tonight after starting this book.
