My review for this book is it has a beautiful setting and well made characters and the plot was great

In a first for me1 I watched the show before reading the book. The book (of course) is so much better. The ending is different. Perfect summer page turner .

This was a re-read for me. It was fun to dip into historical fiction but still keep secrets & gossip that I'm coming to love from Elin. For the most part, I really loved the characters but there was something about Kate that bothered me that I still can't put my finger on. I'd love to go even further back in history and get Exalta's story - there's gotta be something that made her the way she was, right?!

The little Greek chorus at the beginning of each chapter helped to keep me in time. And I liked that there wasn't a spotlight on every weekend. I enjoyed getting little vignettes from the various characters, dipping in & out of their lives and seeing how they had grown & changed (particularly Ursula & Leland!) But I hate this was framed around an affair and I hate Jake for carrying on an affair for YEARS, even before he was married.

Well, this was a strange Mrs. Robinson‘ish story. Mikala really does need better friends. I kept reading but didn‘t enjoy it. It was kind of icky. I‘m glad I didn‘t read EH‘s Nantucket books in publication order as this is Book 2 and I might have given up on the author with this effort. I have two more books to read before I can call the EH Nantucket series complete!

This is fun!! 🤩 Beachy beach book by the Queen of Nantucket Beach Reads 👑 The Story has a hint of mystery which makes it all the more intriguing.
Even though it‘s summer and the temperatures are finally rising it‘s pretty cool inside. After a long walk I‘m having the coziest of reading afternoons with my sweet Zelda 🐾🐾📚

I‘m apparently in a Hilderbrand mood as my last 3 books have been part of her Nantucket series. Although this book didn‘t have any recurring characters- as it‘s the first in the series- I loved it all the same. Perfect beach book- complete with twists, drama and love stories. I also loved how all the characters were experiencing existential crisis of sorts. Relatable.
