After reading "Being Dead" by Jim Crace I needed something light and beachy so chose Elin Hilderbrand's last Nantucket Island book.
Really liked this book. Will pick up other of her Nantucket stories.
I love this place and these characters. Thankfully, I still have a few other Hilderbrand books to read. I also read this on the beach in St. John & loved that small parts of this book were set there.
This is my February #DoubleSpin book.

Well, that was aptly named.
I did find the resolution with the Richardsons rushed, a little more on it would have been nice. But otherwise, this was just what I wanted from Hilderbrand‘s last Nantucket novel. Juicy and fun!
This was definitely Elin‘s Swan Song , great end to this wonderful series !

Peak Elin Hilderbrand! Her last Nantucket novel (for now) hits all the right juicy summer drama notes. She‘s the reigning queen of the beach read for a reason! I‘ll be really interested to check out the two boarding school novels she‘s writing with her daughter. 🎧
A wonderful swan song of a beach book. I loved reading about all the characters and their individual dramas.
I have officially read all of Elin Hilderbrand‘s books and am sad to hear about her retirement - although I heard a rumor about her writing stories with her daughter now. So, fingers crossed!🤞🏻Swan Song is another juicy beach read and as always, it‘s great to visit Nantucket and see how the other half lives! Lots of little Easter eggs sprinkled throughout for the fans and a good note to go out on. 5⭐️

I just love the covers of summer reads. I chose the tagged to define this grid because of my anticipation for the final EH Nantucket story.

I'm sad. I'm going to miss these people. I'm going to miss Nantucket. But I'm mostly going to miss a reliable summer read from a go to author. Luckily, there a few backlist titles I haven't read yet.

Ah! Starting a new book at the pool!
It's just too damn hot to do anything but sit in the shade and read 🥵
Honestly, I was expecting this last book (😿😭) in EH‘s world of Nantucket to read like a long epilogue of beloved characters. I would have been okay with that - these are my close, personal friends, after all. But there‘s also story here with a new characters that I‘d love to continue following as the millennials and gen-Zs we read grow up make their way back home to Nantucket.
“Maybe Kacy should meet Stacy. Kacy and Stacy - they‘d be such a meme” - I about 💩 - I‘m Stacey and my sister is Kasey…and it is such a meme 🙄🤣 and I ordered this for her for her birthday and she just got it, I texted turn to page 278!!!
Happy Sunday! Enjoying some deck time with the latest summer read. I love that BOTM has early releases occasionally. And also enjoying simple instapot made yogurt. I have been making it weekly and it is a great protein boost (hello midlife) and very fresh tasting. My dad worked in a dairy my entire childhood, so a nod to him. Obv I‘m taking the easy way out. ☺️
Guess who got her hot little hands on an #ARC of Elin‘s last book (sob)?! Soooooo excited. I‘ll be up all night reading.
