Reading this today. It‘s my Book of the Month pick for February. Yep I‘m late getting started 😩 but it‘s been busy this month for me, in my mind and just stuff going on to keep me from starting. This book is a crime/mystery/fiction novel by Kristin Koval. So far it‘s a great read. So I‘ve high hopes for this one. Happy Reading! #LitsyReads #BookoftheMonth #crimemystery #fiction #crime #Reads2025

Monthky wrap-up for January. Even though I rated A Scatter of Light higher, I'd go with Tears of the Nameless as #BookOfTheMonth

Monthly books! #Aardvarkbookclub #Bookofthemonth #botm

For Aardvark, full box again (🫨🫨), incl their book of the year (tagged), which, yes, I woke up at 530a to make sure I could secure (8aET is 6a here), plus these 2 I just… can‘t… pass… up. @AardvarkBookClub

For BOTM, a little lackluster, but I picked this interesting sounding thriller + getting the next issue of their short story subscription. Must… actually start that series soon… 🤔

Stats for December 2024, including my #bookofthemonth for both, fiction and non-fiction. It was a good reading month and a good way to end the year.

I had so much fun reading my April #BookOfTheMonth pick! I wish I‘d read it in the warmer parts of the year, but reading by tree light does add a certain magic! This adventure fantasy— complete with seadragons, neat marking magic where tattoos come to life, a quest & romance— makes for a fast-paced & exciting read! Hanalei hasn‘t returned to her home since her father‘s betrayal, but when forced her return, it‘s a different welcome than envisioned!

3 of those were manga, so it's 15 books in total. I'm totally ok with that. My two #bookofthemonth titles are showed above:

Non-fiction: Einfach Selbst Bestimmt by Janka Kluge (Simply Self-Determinated)
Fiction: Free by Lea Ypi

Bookwomble Manga are books - it's ok to include them 😊 I'd count reading the list of ingredients on a cereal packet as a book if it was in the database! 😄 3mo
Jari-chan @Bookwomble Yes, I fully agree! I grew up in a time when the bookish community was really strict and GNs, comics and manga didn't count, and one was blamed when doing so. Still can't get rid of the guilt 😅 3mo
Bookwomble @Jari-chan Ah, the time of the Authoritarian Librarian Regime! Difficult times, difficult times indeed 😔🙃 3mo
Jari-chan @Bookwomble True word, my friend. Hopefully, the times are changing now 🤞 3mo
